This OP is to avoid hijacking another OP and for those that enjoy lever action firearms.

Here are my lever action rifles.

Winchester '92, 32-20, original manufactured in 1894 (? or 1896, I forget)

Here are my two lever actions: Ruger made Marlin in .357 and Henry .22lr with the extra large loop.

They are so much fun to play with at the local outdoor range with steel targets!

Allegedly not as accurate as bolt actions, not quite as rapid fire capable as semi-automatics, though with practice they get real close, but they are fun!

How do you like the Henry?

I'm looking/thinking hard about getting a Henry in 22 mag.

It’s a Uberti 45 Colt. 1873 Winchester. Lots of fun to shoot. I added the tang peep sight. I need to get a better pic.

I had one in 45 Colt. Wish I had not sold it.
I would like to find another in 44 mag or 41 mag in a non carbine rifle. Nothing against carbines. I just think the full length (long barrel with full length magazine) are more cooler looking.
 
Browning BLR 308win. In retrospect I wish I would have went with the 358win bc it doesnt like 180gr bullets. It doesn't knock things down half the time but they never go far. It accompanies everywhere when shots are under 200 yards

The forearm on mine is the takedown forearm. The barrel is heavier than the 243 or 308 barrels.

I also had thoughts of free floating a lever action. I just haven't figured out how to do it. Unlike other rifle designs there is always 2 points of contact:

Barrel bands:
Front and rear on forestock.
Front of forestock, magazine tube, barrel and rear forestock
Barrel and magazine tube

BLR: ???....hhmmm

Could possibly be done using a full length stock like a bolt action stock. Would require a lot of wood cutting and shaping to design the stock to house the lever action metal profile and action, and to locate, drill and tap for a front screw in front of the magazine.

It would be interesting to see how it would look, feel, and shoot.

Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.
