It is a seventies or eighties era scope, and they were built like an armored vehicle. Optics were the best of the era. It would be ideal to fit to an existing set of claw mounts are as @rookhawk suggests use it on a Schounauer or something similar that would benefit from classic looks and a bit of heft.
