Folks it seems to me that many of our members have had some very good success hunting dangerous game this year. (Myself Included). I thought I would start a thread were everyone could post pictures and just share where you hunted, outfitter, gun short notes about your trophy. In a sense we would be able to quickly see everyone’s trophies in one thread. Maybe place a link in your notes to your individual hunt reports so folks could get more of the details.

Leopard hunt June 5th through June 21st with Eintracht Jagd Safaris. Used outfitters 9.3 x 62 rifle. Trophy taken on the last day of the hunt weighed 172 pounds and was 7 ft 4 inches long.

Namibia has been good to others this year so come on folks and share what you did here. I’m pretty sure there have been sever Cape buffalo, a couple more leopards, a hippo or two and I think at least one elephant. Thanks for sharing everyone.

My son shot his first buffalo in July a cow I helped out the otfitter last year with a deal and I scored a buff cow and then gave it to my son for his 16th Bday in Jan and we hunted it July school holidays 2 1/2 days of hunting from dark to dark. Then finally managed a shot. Combination of 375 H&H with 300gr Woodleigh HD and 458 Lott with 480gr Softs.

Yes, Brute of a cat!!!!

My first ever Buffalo hunt that I did with Marius at @KMG Hunting Safaris in June 2021. First picture shows where my first shot hit which was a frontal shot. Don't shoot there as that causes chaos  The shot was too low. Used a rental rifle. 375 H&H.

On this hunt, we hunted near Hoesdpruit. I haven't written up a hunt report but I should get to that at some point. We also shot a hyena at this property as well which was super awesome and then moved down to the Eastern Cape area and hunted a few more animals.

Nice buff sir.

My leopard is almost the twin of Charlies. 73KG, 7ft 3 in long, taken with 300 WSM, on the 3rd day of the hunt. Was our first trip to Namibia, hunted with Ejuka Safaris.

Dave you didn’t have to wait very long fir your leopard.

@CAustin The hunting gods smiled on us:Angelic:

I was expecting it to take most all of the time we were booked for. After talking to many who required 4-7 trips to get their leopard, I planned in my mind that I would be patience and work hard and if lucky would be successful, but also understanding if I wasn't. My outfitter has had a %100 success on cats for the last few years so I booked this with him hoping to continue the success.

AH has certainly worn out the cats this year !! Just antidotally I'd say it has been the best cat year since I've joined.

I killed two buffalo bulls in the North Omay in Zim. Used a "ranch gun" .416 Rigby. Dalton and York Safaris

Man am I envious of everyone! Outstanding!

Game4Africa Safaris, Grahamstown... Late May
.45-70 shooting a 325 grain Cutting Edge brass solid hand load at about 1850fps
A single frontal shot at 45 yards
The blood by the ground in the lower right of the one photo is the entry wound.
According to my PH Wikus Coetzee (@Game4Africa) she was about 1300 pounds on the hoof.

We stalked sign up a dry drainage. We eventually spotted her across the drainage from several hundred yards away, through a lot of thick, thorny stuff. When we finally made our way to her side, she had spotted us and was watching us, though the wind was in our favor. Up went the sticks and he gave me instructions on where to aim on the chest. I did and shot. She went maybe 30 yards. No other shot was needed. I could not be more delighted to have had this experience, or how it turned out. One other note: I was up at 4 AM that day. My two daughters had a choir concert, so I got up to watch it online. I remembered thinking while I was watching it that I needed to be as alert as possible, so I had plenty of coffee and drank a few sodas on the way to the hunt area.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
