Republicans should hold the Senate and make gains in the House.

With all the October surprises coming in the next ten days, look for Republicans to turn out in BIG numbers and late Democrats to not show up at the polls

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that apathy for the Dem ticket, especially for Harris, keeps alot of them away from the polls.

Democrats don't do meme's like Republicans.

Of course it's easier for Republican's. They have the best material!

I wonder what's going on with Facebook? Are they worried about getting bitch slapped by the Feds, after the rampant censorship. Losing their protection status under 230?
They just let me out of Facebook jail 5 days early. That has never happened before.....ever.! I've been hit with 30 day bans over 10 times in the past couple years.

Section 230 is the least of their worries if Trump wins. I would not want to own Facebook, Twitter or Alphabet stock if Trump wins.

All of the federal employees that I know and have known were employed by several agencies, including F&W, Social Services, Housing, USPS, Law Enforcement, VA, parks. Most were "workers" as opposed to management, but a few were supervisors. With the exception of one doctor in the VA, all were providing quality service for their salary. the one doctor did give quality, but his 2 year residency was in Seattle (rain-cold) and he let everyone know that he was from Texas (dry-hot) and his 2 year sentence would soon be up and he'd be gone.

The problem that I see with any agency is the methods of evaluation and ambitions of managers. A systemic problem with most government agencies is the method of evaluation. A police officer may be evaluated by the number of citations he/she writes (this is a quota and that term is avoided but the number that the supervisor reviews is still there). So if an officer is ambitious and there is insufficient crime for him to catch, he needs to invent some. The very first traffic ticket that I got was by such an officer. So the crime inventing officer gets promotion while the honest one is passed over.

I saw politicians that had a program to please a certain sector of the population (gain votes) but didn't want to have the appearance that the program would cost anybody anything. So they would pick on some agency that had the appearance of similarity and have duties involved with the new program added to that agency- with no increase in staff or funding. Generally the directors of the agency involved welcomed such additions because it built their empire. So a bureaucracy grows and gets to be inefficient as it loses focus on doing a few things well in the effort to do several things which end up being done poorly.

On top of all this then you have the corrupt officials, of which we have seen too many to mention. The phrase is to defund the police. It should be redefine the duties of not only the police but of all government agencies- allow the agencies to focus on a very few things that they do very well and eliminate those activities from their duties that could be best handled by other agencies or private companies. If any employees are to be "fired" at the top of the list should be the corrupt officials and the politicians that installed the enabling system.
This about sizes it up. My wife seen several retire from the military and never leave their desk. I work for postal service when I retired there were more people watching carriers than there were carriers.

I worked for Uncle Sam a few years but not like this.

A guy goes into a government agency office to apply for a job. The interviewer asks him, “Are you allergic to anything?” He replies, “Yes, caffeine. I can’t drink coffee.
”Ok, Have you ever been in the military service?”
“Yes,” he says, “I was in Afghanistan for one tour.”
The interviewer says, “That will give you five extra points toward employment.” Then he asks, “Are you disabled in any way?
The guy says, “Yes. A bomb exploded near me and I lost both my testicles.”
The interviewer grimaces and then says, “Disabled in your country’s service! Well, that qualifies for extra bonus points. Okay. Looking at the regulations you have got enough points for me to hire you right now. Our normal hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can start tomorrow at 10:00 am, and plan on starting at 10:00 am every day.
The guy is puzzled and asks, “If the work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM, why don’t you want me here until 10:00 am?”
“This is a government job,” the interviewer says. “For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that.”

The age of their immunity, and unlimited size is over. Dinosaurs. There is nothing fringe-less and cowslick can do about it.

Beitbart just published some interesting data from Texas. RealClearPolitics has Trump up only 2.6% in the state. Our devoutly trusted liberal rag, "Dallas Morning News," says as of today that Biden is up 48 to 45%.

As we all anticipate, early voting should favor the Democrats overwhelmingly, particularly so this year as they strategize protecting themselves from the Covid Terror.

HOWEVER. As of today, 6.7 mil votes have been returned. That is an increase of 218% from 2016. 53% of those early votes are Republican, 37% are Democrat, and 10% are independent.

One of three possibilities:

1. Texas polling is really wrong

2. A bunch of Republicans are voting for Biden (even the Bush family isn't that big)

3. Democrats will defy their normal voting patterns and show up in massive numbers on election day.

I wonder which of those Biden believes? :E Hmmm:

I'm going with number one.
