Some things can never be bettered?

The chatter of little voices and the patter of little feet.
Our first child, our daughter, is 13.5 months old. And these are the greatest things. She loves rocks and mud, has played in the creek. She huffs and tries to moo back at the cattle.

Oh, and watching her play with Gramma and Grampa.

Aren't the little ones just priceless? I can spend all day watching my 3 year old great grand daughter carry on. She has all of us wrapped right around her little finger, talks a blue streak and can hold a more intelligent conversation than a lot of adults I know.

A Heddon River Rat still in its box and marked two shillings and sixpence.
The wife using the 1950's Kenwood Chef in the kitchen and never giving it another thought.
Painted car bulb Christmas tree lights working on a car battery at the old farm.
The huge rear window shelf on a Hudson where us kids used to lie in the sun on the way to town.
Little round Massey Ferguson tractors.

Ah Gin! So many to choose from and so much variety. I like Hendricks as a good all-purpose gin. Plymouth in an aviation: perfect. Put it with dry lemon and it is no good at all. And different strokes for different folks. We have a local gin that everyone seems to like except me and my drinking buddy. The best way I can describe it is imagine drinking a teenage girl's perfume. My former wife loved Saphire, but I've no love for it. Nothing wrong with a Beefeater or a Tanqueray in my opinion. Uncle Val's botanical is delightful in the right cocktail.

Damn I wish I weren't on call tonight!
You should try uncle vals it’s my personal favorite and I am also a fan of Hendricks and Plymouth

Can not argue with your taste in gin!

Just had a gin tasting with a few close friends. Hendricks, Plymouth, Uncle Vals, and Tanqueray Rangpur (my present favorite with dry lemon).

Uncle Val’s is quite a flavorful gin. Paired very well in a martini with duck confit. Hendricks didn’t stand up to the heavy flavor of the duck as well.

I like it with a key lime, topo Chico, Jack Rudy’s tonic syrup and some whole juniper berries, stare anise, and cardamum. It’s one hell of a good gin and tonic for the boat.

Gin is good for you.
Look at everything it’s done for me.

Isn't life grand! So many experiences!
Yes, it is Ridgewalker, and nothing like like-minded positive souls to share it with. Like preparing lunch for the guys at our Wenela Club on a Friday. This is our board room, we make happy decisions here, and they always work out well.

An antique coffee grinder, that you actually use. We give one of these to each of our kids as a wedding present, along with two egg cups so the remember us every morning!

I especially like the dress items and also the salt beef sandwiches. You obviously pay respect to the hunt, good on you.

The first hunt with your child will be priceless. Remember taking our son out for his first hunt and it was more fun to watch him than shooting the pheasants. He got the first two birds of the day with his single shot 20 gauge :)

Good leather hunting belt with cartridge holder, pouches, hunting knife
Leather backpack
Leather rifle and shotgun slings
Leather bino strap
Leather boots
Cotton hunting clothes
Wool socks
Barbour waxed field jacket (colder weather)
LL Bean cotton safari/hunting jacket (light jacket)
Flask with livation of choice (good vodka or whiskey for me)

If you couldn’t tell, love the smell and feel of good leather, old fashion hunting apparel, and good booze :)
