Good luck finding that rifle here for that estimate. The closeups look like original 85% condition or so. One would have to check the bore, but if it passes muster as well, it would be a great buy even with a 22% buyers premium.

Action Bob, I often agree with you, but I already have 3 rifles in .405 and my 1895 "shooter" is a TD fitted to me. Since I am not a collector, I have to pass. However, that is not a bad price for the listed 1895.

There are certainly export agents and it is possible. Holts (Another auctioneers, http://www.holtsauctioneers.com/) often send guns to the US.

That's our equivalent of an FFL.

You can even find one's that ship to the USA...

The whole export/import drill to the States would be complicated and expensive. However, assuming the bore is in good shape, this rifle would likely retail for around 4K - 6K on this side of the Atlantic (it's a Roosevelt thing). The Rhoda markings would probably add a little more of a premium. Get it for high estimate or below ..............
