This would be big medicine for elk in the thick..............should buy it just to honor Leon Courtney and Charlie Cottar.................FWB

Good luck finding that rifle here for that estimate. The closeups look like original 85% condition or so. One would have to check the bore, but if it passes muster as well, it would be a great buy even with a 22% buyers premium.

Mike...................can I shoot a few trophies with it? Mfg date 1915...........FWB

Is there any way to get it back to USA and cost to do it.

Its a long ways from home...nice.

Action Bob, I often agree with you, but I already have 3 rifles in .405 and my 1895 "shooter" is a TD fitted to me. Since I am not a collector, I have to pass. However, that is not a bad price for the listed 1895.

The whole export/import drill to the States would be complicated and expensive. However, assuming the bore is in good shape, this rifle would likely retail for around 4K - 6K on this side of the Atlantic (it's a Roosevelt thing). The Rhoda markings would probably add a little more of a premium. Get it for high estimate or below ..............
