But why has Trump asserted executive privilege to have the unredacted Mueller report barred from release if it supposedly vindicates him?
He is using it as a lever to piss off the Democrats.
I believe it is also illegal to release Grand Jury information to the general public.

Under the Federal Rules of Procedure it is illegal to release Grand Jury testimony. And Nadler who is a lawyer would know that.

Trump never used executive privilege during the Mueller investigation. He let Mueller talk to everyone around him, including his attorney and his son. Why? Could it be possible that Trump knew he and his campaign did not collude with the Russians?

The Mueller report went to Barr. Barr has no responsibility to release any of it, but for transparency, he released all that he could release. The intelligence community had the opportunity to redact certain things that would be detrimental to the country. Individuals who gave testimony that had no bearing on the investigation also had their names redacted. Also as has been mentioned. It is illegal to release grand jury information. Barr did all this even though there was no requirement for him to do that. The Democrats knowing they were sunk then tried to change the narrative, and Nadler, for political reasons decided to impeach Barr. It was at that point that Trump asserted executive privilege to keep the House from impeaching Barr. The information you are mentioning is the MSM talking points and has nothing to do with the truth. Barr has even allowed House and Senate leaders to review everything in the report except for the grand jury information in a secure setting. I haven't paid close attention but after the first couple of weeks, no Democrat had taken the opportunity to do that.

The Mueller report does vindicate Trump. Mueller finds that there is no collusion with the Russians. The Mueller report leaves it up to Barr to determine if there is any obstruction of justice since they couldn't confirm any. How do you obstruct an investigation if there was no precedent crime to obstruct? Yes, I understand that there is a vagary within the law that does allow that to take place. Mueller left collusion up to Barr. Barr and Rosenstein read the report and determined that there was no obstruction. Therefore the case against Trump is over, except in the minds of the Democrats who are running a cover up investigation. It is possible that if Trump released all the information prior to the Mueller report finalizing, Mueller could have found that Trump obstructed justice. Yea, crazy isn't it. This is also why Trump lost the House in the 2018 elections.

Well that is not the case with the 2020 elections. The world will know what happened and 2020 will be a massive landslide against corruption.

Trumps order allowing Barr to declassify has just released the Kraken!

Democrats want to impeach Trump for crimes that they committed.
Yup, a strategy as old as politics itself. Deflection and Projection. Blame your opponent for your own misdeeds.

Senator Frank Church from 1975. Hmmm, anything sound familiar? It was only a matter of time for his worst fear to be realized.

And the Dems know this. But great way to play the political spin game now isn't it ?

Yep. Blame Trump for colluding with the Russians to cover up the fact that Hillary colluded with the Ukrainians, British, Maltese, Australians and Russians to influence the outcome of an American election. There are probably at least two other countries that we can throw in there but the evidence isn't quite as public yet.

When Barr uses the word spying. When Trump uses the word treason. You know we are getting close.:D

Do you remember this.

Graham questioned Kavanaugh at his SCOTUS nomination hearing about military law. He clarified that American's who collaborated with the enemy could be subject to military law and not criminal law. This brings up an interesting question. If Hillary and the people that worked for her, and the Obama administration officials that were involved in spygate, collaborated with foreign governments to influence an American election, could they be tried under military law.

Ever wonder why the Democrats fought so hard to keep Kavanaugh from being confirmed? Part of the reason may be this. You can rest assured that there were soiled drawers when Graham took the questioning down this road. Enjoy!

The radicals have taken over the House of Representatives, and senile old Pelosi, is speaker in name only.
The glorious outcome of all this buffoonery, is that Trump will win in a landslide, and we should hopefully take the house away from the Dems.
A lame duck term for Trump, could be a beautiful thing!

This is important, very important.

If you're on the side that believes that Trump is guilty despite what the Mueller report conclusion was then I challenge you to ask yourself why Dems won't even look at the information that is available? Hmmm.....

Maybe they know a smoking gun isn't there? Maybe they know that nothing even close is there ? Maybe they know that the only leg they have to stand on is MSM misinformation and lies?

Maybe, just maybe, the real reason the politicans (both sides) hate Trump so much is because he's a threat to tear down their very way of life? Not the countries, but theirs. That he's upsetting the apple cart and threatening to slaughter the politicans cash cow.

There are TRILLIONS at stake.

BINGO!!!

USA national debt is $22T. The Afghanistan and Iraq wars cost $6T. Why have they gone on for 16 and 18 years? Could it be that it has to, with all the hands in the cookie jar? Why have people like John McCain always wanted to start a war and never wanted to end a war? Why do both Democrats and Republicans fight Trump when he wants to remove all troops from Syria after ISIS has been defeated?

The war machine produces an amazing amount of income for people all over the world. In the mean time the American workers are saddled with a few trillion more of debt.

This is just one example. There are hundreds more.

Why does Congress always fail to pass a budget, and figure out ways to pay off the debt at a reasonable pace?

They don't believe in budgets. Keep that money flowing.

Obama added 1 trillion to the debt for every year he was in office. He was also responsible for lowering the countries credit rating.

Trump is on pace for adding 1 trillion per year as well.

Funny you chose that example.

I had a friend who was totally up in arms over this simply because it was Trump that made the decision. He criticized me for supporting pulling out of Syria and he supported staying in because the "experts"thought we should. Here is the irony. He agreed that the "experts" policy had failed for the last however many years.

But he would rather trust the "experts" and their same failed policy rather than have Trump try something new and see if it works.

He was totally blinded by MSM, hatred of Trump, and a lack of critical thinking.

It is amazing the number of intelligent people who will not set down. Analyze a set of facts critically. Then come to a reasonable answer. They assume that a talking head on the tube knows more than they do. The amount of trust put into the mainstream media is appalling. Especially when they lie so regularly. Fox isn't much better. People like Hannity have to know they are misleading their followers. It seems Hannity is just spewing hate to keep his ratings/income up.

What has amazed me so much over the last year and a half is the number of every day people with a blog or twitter account that have the ability to do open source research. Some have great analytic abilities and some provide raw information and others are able to put the puzzle together. Even with the tech companies de-platforming researchers, or liberals doxxing them, they come through with flying colors. This could never have happened on this scale, in the days prior to social media.

What many don't understand is that the MSM has been bought. China and Middle East countries are purchasing a narrative to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars per year within the American and world media complex. The American MSM thinks they are safe with the first amendment. It will be interesting to see if/when FARA laws are brought down on the MSM.

How can we have a NYT reporter, sleeping with the head of security for the Senate Intelligence Committee, use classified information he has provided to her and she published, the NYT find out about it and the reporter still keep her job. Journalism and ethics are dead in this country. There may be a big day of reckoning coming. It can't happen soon enough.

A guy can dream...

If Trump should decide to do *something* about both the IRS and the Federal Reserve System...

It is a difficult thing to wrap one's mind around, but *currency* is debt. Thus, the federal debt can NEVER be repaid without destroying USD currency. When debts are repaid, the M1 and M2 (and eventually the M0)created by them are destroyed. This is literally Accounting 101-level stuff.

IF Trump has an honest-to-God Austrian somewhere among his economic advisors, and he pays attention to him...

Enough about Trade & Money; What I would like to know is: If a Transgender man (still possessing female genitalia) and a Transgender woman (still possessing male genitalia) participate in sexual relations, then one of them decides they aren't satisfied with the arrangement and cries sexual assault; which one gets charged?

If I had $1 on the day I was born, it would have less than a dime of spending power today.

The current US debt equates to $70,000 for every man woman and child in the USA. If you consider unfunded liabilities like medicare and social security, you add another $200,000 for every individual in America. Everybody owes a quarter million dollars. A family of four owes a million. Since half of American's don't pay taxes, a working family really owes over $2,000,000. The only way it is paid off is by debasing the currency. We become a Weimar Republic or a Zimbabwe.

I don't know if Trump is a fiscal conservative or not. He was a democrat most of his life until recently. He is obviously trying to get a massive infrastructure spending bill through congress now. My hope is that he gets employment high with good paying jobs and then starts cutting federal spending so that by the end of his second term he has a budget where revenue and costs are close to equaling out. A key is cutting graft and waste out of the budget. If he is able to do that in his second term, he has a chance.

Unfortunately the Hayek's and Friedman's are in that great free market in the sky!

Trump to make first state visit to UK in June
https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/23/politics/trump-state-visit-uk-gbr-intl/index.html

If Teresa May has resigned before Trump's arrival, then she probably knew or possibly approved the UK's involvement in the plan to keep Trump from becoming president. Brexit will be the reason she goes, but that is just the handy excuse.

There has been a cold relationship between May and Trump since Trump took office. The reason? Trump knew and May knew he knew.

If May is still in office, watch the body language and communications between the two. It will be pure comedy because May knows Trump is about to expose the plot.

We live in entertaining times. Enjoy the show!

WOW. That didn't take long.

Theresa May tears up as she announces resignation

Wow is right.
