Thinking About Africa? READ THIS!

Hunting in Africa is life changing and I mean not just the hunt and the animals. The people, the cultures, the history all made my three trips so much more than I ever imagined. And to think that my plan was a one time trip to just hunt birds and maybe take a zeba or impala...hahahahahaha!

I have waited till my children have grown to do any hunting out of the states, and completely understand the lack of funds
symptom! I went on my first safari this spring with my brother. I fund my hunting with side work to help ease my conscience.
My wife and I agreed that we would travel together somewhere we both would like to go in between any hunts. Soooooo,
when I got home I found some plush places for us to visit in AFRICA! oh and maybe I could hunt a few days while we are there
LMAO ! if she saw this site I might be suffering from the D disease as well LOL
Looking for side jobs to feed the addiction, Thanks guys.

Some side effects also include the purchase of multiple rifles in the same caliber (.375 H&H for example). Or at least it is according to my wife who can't understand why I need both!

You are a bunch of sick buggers, for sure!

Glad I managed to dodge the bug.

Sure, and you can stop anytime, right? :A Praying::E Big Grin:

Just returned from Limpopo and a grand safari with Graham Jones. It was my son’s graduation trip from high school. After 2-1/2 days of close encounters, failed stalks, he finally connects with a dandy impala. As I join him beside the impala, the words from his smiling mouth confirmed the worst, “Dad, now I understand why you are addicted to this. Thank you.” Yep, 3 days in and his has the disease. Only confirmed by the 8th day him saying in response to shooting a gemsbok” Nah Dad, it’s OK. I have to leave something to look forward to coming back for.” Music to my ears, fear for my bank account.

it started with one and morphed into five and next june-july maybe number six. I too have been charmed by Africa, the animals and the best part the African people. I have been taken in like a long lost son and treated as such.

I was properly infected in 1986, now over three decades later and I continually seek therapy. What I have found over the last few years is my stay on the Dark Continent grows longer each year. After being gone nearly a month this last trip I told my wife - "Someday, I might just stay"!

My Name is Randy and I have a problem! Her name is Holly, she is totally afflicted with the Africa disease. We leave for our 4th safari in February of 19. After our once in a lifetime trip for our 25th anniversary she has booked another trip before we left Africa after each trip!! What shall I do!!!:););):D
NEVER, EVER, LET HER OUT OF YOUR SIGHT!!!

I look at like its a addiction and it seems like I may need a fix very soon or a intervention(betty ford clinic).
