I have an easy time guessing that everyone here dreams about hunting one of everything in Africa, I was wondering if anyone on here has done it? If so I'd love to hear about how many safaris you've done, photos of trophy rooms of course, etc. Minus a couple of the unusual species like porcupine I tried to list most of the animals (courtesy of AfricanSky). Let me know if I missed any.

I'm trying to figure out this list. Are you talking about just Southern Africa? Because there are many that are missing.

Mostly the main areas; South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, etc.

small spotted genet cat

I added all of those to the list

If you were to hunt all 56 animals or so how much would you guess it would cost in just trophy fees , 250,000$?

I got all of the big 5 , mounted in a picture frame. RAND. looks good. that is the only way I will ever be able to afford the big 5. got 4 of them on my first trip to S.A. had to go back to get the Leapord. Forrest

You can certainly put me down for not wanting to hunt ALL of the animals on a list. Assuming I had the time and the money and all four colors of springbuck walked out and stood there for me, I suppose I would shot them ... I just wouldn't ever take the time to hunt down all four so I could check them off a list.

If I had the time and money that it would take to complete that list (and I think your $250,000 for trophy fees is pretty low), I would focus on hunting as many different places as possible and never worry if got both zebras and one of those little whatchamacallits :)!

Go fishing less more hunting ! ( Dont know who will pat though .)

What a feat that would be! I loved to have the money and time to try (y)

We all can dream! I'd guess to hunt one of everything, taxidermy, the actual hunt cost, trophy fee's, etc could easily reach a million dollars.

Add a few more:
Split the Rhino there are 2 Black and White.
4 Bushbuck sub species for the splitters.
Auodad Barbary Sheep
Cape Mountain Zebra

Big 5 on the low side:

Rhino-80k
Elephant-20k
Lion-15k (South African)
Leopard-10k
Buffalo-10k

Total 135k (This is if you watch for deals. Rhino info may be a little old with all the poaching going on.)

Cape Mountain Zebra
We'll exclude the black rhinos as thats like a 300,000$ price tag and very few hunts.

I think I'll only include sub species on the list if their is a big visual difference.

don't forget them kangaroo rabbit things , enyssee
Spring hare Bluey, check got one! Lol. Quite possibly one of the best nights of my life!

sitatunga in Namibia, spotted hyena, brown hyena, cheetah, meerkat, baboon, vervet monkey

Cheetah and brown hyena aren't exportable to the US unfortunately.
