Anyone flown BA with rifles and supressors lately? It’s one of the flights being recommended to me.

Not with a suppressor

I had a very poor experience with BA. I would go with other options.

I flew them from JNB to London in June this year with my rifles no suppressor. They just were extra cautious with more paperwork and when I was at the gate a ground crew member called for me to confirm in a whisper that it was my two rifles in their hold

I just flew British Airways September 6 of this year. Toronto to London, London to Johannesburg. I made sure it was a BA plane flying each leg, and also followed their regulations closely. Registered a firearm at time of purchase, then again 72 hours before boarding. I picked up my buddy in London with his rifle. He had a suppressor on his rifle, no problem.
The downside was a $230 "Firearm Handling Fee" ($165 US) paid in Toronto, then again paid on the way home in Johannesburg.
Also, they want your ammo to fly in an ammo case, separate from the rest of your luggage, not in it, as other airlines do. No extra charge for the ammo case though.
They had a killer deal on Business Class that I just couldn't ignore. Even with the extra firearm fees, it was way below the going rate for business with any other airline at the time.

Yeah that’s the thing is their business class pricing is great and my wife really wants to fly business and they are the only ones I can afford lol.

It's hard to beat being able to lie down and actually get some sleep. Another thing to consider is the long layover in London. This will be the same for any flight leaving North America, then going through Europe. At least in London they give you lounge access, Grab a shower, some food, a few drinks. Your departure city will determine how long the layover is.

The last time I flew BA was about 5 years ago to the UK. Their biz class was about the same quality as Emirates coach class.

Regarding suppressors, I'm not sure but I'm thinking you're asking the wrong question. The question is what airline allows suppressors to what destinations? The problem with EU carriers is most have bans on bringing in weapons and suppressors to Africa. I do not know what BA's standing is post-brexit, but it wouldn't be my first choice to fly to Africa with guns due to their affinity to EU.

Might I suggest Etihad and Emirates?
