I am headed to RSA early next week and have my wife joining me a week later. I have not been too worried about any of the Ebola stuff because it is centered mostly 3500 miles away in Liberia and we are on a non-stop flight from Atlanta. However, my wife is getting nervous about it now and so I am trying to explain that there are more ebola cases now in Texas (Dallas is 200 miles from us) than in South Africa. In light of that fact, our main concern is on the flight over there and back coming in contanct with someone stricken with Ebola. Are there many flights coming from Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, etc that go to Jo-'burg where a person may get off and join our flight back to Atlanta? My guess would be that most likely someone escaping the Ebola region would get on the flight from Lagos to Atlanta or a connection through Europe, etc. What do you guys think? Guys that are in RSA, is there as much talk about Ebola there as there is here in the US?
BTW: I am super excited about my trip. This is my second trip to Africa. It makes it extrememly hard to focus on work, etc when all I want to do is pack for my trip and read up on the AH forum. Thanks!
