Lost trophies crate (from Mozambique) - is anyone else’s crate missing ?

Hunted SA in 2022, crate finally arrived in 2024 (CITES issues) but somehow a few trophies are missing from that crate, and we are waiting for them to be shipped.

TIA, a complete SNAFU
I am having a cites issue in South Africa now (very slow processing). I also hunted in 2022 and I have one animal missing, waiting for shipment.

Are y’all missing the CITIES animals?

We have a crate lost in Dallas. Came from Spain. The real loss is Gina's Roebuck. The rest is inconsequential. Well, the $3000plus into getting it here isxa major loss.

Sure wish we'd have gone with our gut feeling of just take good pictures and toss it in the ditch...

Not a question of missing the CITES animals, it´s slow processing, which makes the documents expire, and then you have to do the whole process again.

Missing animals were normal plainsgame.

Yeah, I’ve been a victim of the permit expiring deal.

Great news, glad to hear this!

Still weird that a crate in Chicago had your name on it!

UPDATE - South African customs apparently held up Moz crates to recert the weight and in the process they were given new AWB’s …a long explanation omitted but my crate is accounted for !
Glad you found it.

I got word yesterday that my permits are completed. I am missing a baboon skull which does not upset me at all. Just scared it will be there but not listed. I asked them to double check the crate, and they assured me it was not there. Still not confident. It seems like the permit process has been super slow!

Good luck to others waiting on lost crates and/or animals.

A couple of years ago I lost my croc skull to customs because it wasn’t listed , that sucked

Good lord. Who was your importer?

Man, you have really been put through the ringer! This is the kind of crap that gives African companies a bad name. Sorry about all of this.

I agree, it may just be 1 out of 1000 that gets messed up somehow BUT it makes everyone apprehensive.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
