I have only hunted North America so far. I will soon experience my first hunt in Africa, hunting in Belmont, South Africa with Fort Richmond outfitters. I booked this hunt nearly two years ago and am extremely excited. I have a six animal package hunt, and have varied from the standard package to include Gemsbok, Kudu, Blesbok, Impala, Wildebeest (black or blue) and one species which I have left open for possibilities when I arrive.

Sounds like you have made a decent selection of species and you left yourself open.

Have a great hunt and do post your hunt report.

good luck.

Welcome and enjoy your hunt!

Welcome to AH, looking forward to your hunt report!

Welcome to AH.

Looks like a fine package with options available.

If any of the following are available and a nice one happens to appear while looking for one of your other designated trophy's i suggest that you consider or Look for eland - nyala - bushbuck or waterbuck to add to your list.

Welcome to AH, have a good hunt!

Welcome!!!

Good idea not to lock yourself in completely. WAY too many choices to do so!!!! Enjoy the site and the trip!

Wish you the best of luck !

Bring back tons of pics.

Have begun shooting off of sticks. Costly with a .300 Weatherby at current prices.

Good Hunting Luck! The only advice I can give is start stashing cash for the next trip. There'll be another.:)

Welcome to AH tpomavil! Enjoy the hunting trip, and what a great idea to leave a mystery animal to choose when you get here! ;)

Hey Odinsraven. Is that post from Jefferry 404 legitimate? I don't know him. Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
