Curious as to the viability of a suppressed double rifle. I've seen ported doubles and suppressed double barrel shotguns, as below. Wonder how it would work on the big bores.

I will absolutely need one of those to completely deafen the entire hunting party.

Can I please have two. One in 450/400NE and another in 470NE.

I will add it to my collection of double muzzle braked rifles and shotguns...

Somewhat off topic but I wonder if anyone hunting for leopards is using a thermal scope on a double.

Okay, I can understand having the barrels magnaportaed on top which is typical to controlmuzzle rise. But why the ports on the side? Seems the side porting would push the barrels off target/POA when fired.

As for attaching suppressors to a double, if the result is like the top photo one would need a gunbearer, assistant gunner, a steel tripod with elevation and traverse mechanisms to properly to mount it on and aim it, along with a water cool system like the WWI water cooled Browning 30 cal machine gun. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That magazine almost looks like it's stitched leather? Strange.

@Beefeater
That double muzzle brake job with the high cap mag is just what @Forrest Halley needs for squirrels. Just a pit it doesn't come in 458 Lott for him.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Will you settle for a 458WM instead of the LOTT? Then here you go...
Well according to that one fella, a .458WM is better than the Lott. I mean it's kinda like a .308 compromise from a .30-06. The case is even about 7.62mm shorter...it would be kinda fun to have a drum magazine for that rifle. It would lose five pounds in firing.

That’s wild...would pair well with the 458WM Garand.

My shoulder would hate such things.

I want one of each.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Yeah, I'd like to take either one to Africa hunting buffalo.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
