Hello I was wondering what ya'll thought were the most locations in Africa for hunting history? The Norfolk Hotel comes to mind for me due to it being a launching off point for hunters in Kenya.

Another one is the Muthiaga Club where many hunters would gather and make merry.

If you know of any other historical significant places in African hunting history please share! I'd be curious about those countries that the French colonized.

Cool thread. I look forward to the members input.

The Muthaiga Club was awesome to visit. Just reeking with history.

Other places:

New Stanley
Mawingo - now the Mt. Kenya Safari Club
Blue Posts Hotel
White Rhino Hotel
Safari Hotel in Arusha

Karen Blixem’s home in Karen, just outside of Ngong, Kenya. It’s a museum and resort now.

Geez. How did I miss that? That’s also a great place. Once you shake your docent you can really take some time to soak it in.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
