SOUTH AFRICA: Question For Tootabi Hunting Safaris

I said I plan on hunting with loodt right in the post. Also said I was asking you a question but it was ok if you did not want to answer them. That would make it your choice if you did or not.Not me saying not to.

Thank you Jaco.

I will not lower myself to that standard. I have said what I want to and asked questions and questioned some actions and services offered.

Now that is a "cheap" shot!! ;) :) () :) ;)

My best always

jaco and pieter i havent seen so much pounding of keyboards on here for a long time, so i thought i would combine the topics and now you have nicely pulled the cheap hunt one in as well, all nicely combined!! :biggrin2:

wow dont we think alot of ourselves bring yourself down to those standards and put my comments in quotes. You want answers and so do I really.I want them from loodt and since you made some comments hear now from you about what my post brought up.You decide to take it pass the first questions asked and now dont like someone coming back at you with some questions. You were just trying to pile on and make the problem bigger. I guess maybe the added pressure of a new business coming next door makes people do things to try and look good.I just believe in all the facts before you pile on more but my standards just maybe a little higher I guess.

Together we are INVISIBLE !!! ;) :)

Myself, Dave and Ferdi has come forward to ask a question, we are being treated on this forum as the wrong party.

Kind regards

Beans

gerhard i dont think you are being treated as the wrong party, what i do think is that everyone needs to take a chill pill and wait to hear what loodt has to say, as at the moment everyone is going round in circles and rehashing everything, and some are starting to get a bit steamed up......no one can really say anything more till loodt speaks and we hear what he has to say on the subject.

I know I am relatively new here but I would like to weigh in with a point of view. This is the first "heated" thread I have seen on this forum since registering. I realize they happen and it's not usually a big deal.

I would caution people who have a vested financial interest in this forum to be careful how and what they post on a public forum. I have seen companies fold because of how their owners or employees present themselves on these types of forum. For some reason most peoples brain to mouth filter doesn't function when it is brain to fingers.

I am not critisizing anyone only offering a small bit of advice. So far there has been some very well thought out responses to this topic and some not so much. Always remember that a google seach can easily turn this thread up for people like myself who are future clients doing research on perspective outfitters.

I hope this all gets resolved for everyone involved.

Cheers and all the best,

John

Together we are INVISIBLE !!! ;) :)

You know what come after "INVISIBLE" don't you......"BULLETPROOF"....If you don't pass out you can actually get to "IRRISISTABLE":draught::beer::tongue:

........Some SA outfitters are legit in Zimbabwe and most of them are not...good for them...BAD for me...why? Now, all SA outfitters are branded as crooks in the hunting fraternity...

That is exactly what I hate about generalizations. Whole groups get branded or painted with the same brush.

...there is a difference between good honest marketing and aggressive marketing...the one can bite you in the ass someday...

"Aggressive marketing" or questionable marketing can bite you in the ass. We both know that one.
I have been around long enough to see it first hand.

Honest mistakes can be made and there will always be someone who will conclude that someone is malicious or crooked.

Somewhere between bulletproof and irrisistable.......:eyecrazy:

Sorry for the hijack.....just addingg a little humor to the conversation!

LMAO! You guys are really funny today. PH's usually have a ton of funny things to say.

Never mind those guys. The kooks in the Channel are jumping right in too.
You save my sanity.
Thanks.

Lets just wait until we hear what his plan is. Brickburn or one of the outfitters should be able to tell if it's legit. Bad thing is since he's not involved with PHASA, you are trusting a verbal or written agreement that everything will be OK. To me that is recipe for disaster. Sure you can go to court but it will be a lose-lose proposition.

Every outfitter is as good as his word. I would hate to try and litigate a safari contract in another country. All the reason it is more important to be prudent in your research.

I think that is part and parcel why everyone gets so heated on these topics.
It is important.
I want everyones hunt to be a success with any outfitter.

Could he not call his parents place tootabi game reserve by name if he wants to or do you own that word tootabi.
If he hired people who have been in the business for years do they lose there past history because they work for him now.
The two PH's he has bring there trackers with them they not a dedicated team to now.
As for the eland would it makes sense to just release them in to any were or again maybe that is his family's place.
Time will tell about who is right and who is wrong soon enough

Not sure where this became personal for you.

You'll help me understand you immensely if you can insert a breath after a period. :)

Tootabi is apparently a registered name. So, there is some ownership of the name.
See if EXXON would be real happy of you opened EXXON Safaris tomorrow.

Experience does not evaporate when you change employers.

Not sure what you are on about with the PH's and Eland release.

Dear Members,

I have read through the apprehensions and concede that I received an email from Jerome (founder) to respond to this thread and assertions in a urgent and timely manner.

I will however only be able (and most definitely want to) respond to each one of the above threads and replies after the burial of a close family member, secondly whilst and with that I have a Grand Mother currently in and out of hospital and terminally ill who needs to be taken care of after as well.

I promise to respond to this no later as to the end of the week, as I do fully understand the complexity and urgency that are required to resolve this matter not only for me and to restore my name but for the whole hunting community, CLIENTS and all affected parties.

I do hope that you understand and ask to please give me time so that I can just get the family doings (funeral) of coming Thursday over with.

Furthermore I am currently acquiring legal advice on this very sombre matter and assertions and will release a full comprehensive statement as requested as soon as available.

Kind regards,

Loodt

Thanks for the initial reply.

My condolences to you and your family Loodt.
