Hi all,

Hope this finds you well. I’m a long time lurker and thought it was time to get involved.
I live in South Australia where big game hunting consists mainly of red and fallow deer.
I’ve made a few trips to South Africa over the years and starting to add some hunting in on these.
One trip to the Karoo a couple of years ago unsuccessfully chasing free range Kudu in the mountains. Second trip to the Limpopo last year for some plains game then 5 days of exciting but unsuccessful Buff hunting. I’m now dreaming daily of Buff, hopefully get another chance this year.
Most of my shooting locally is with a 30-06 but I took my 9.3x62 and 458Lott to Africa.

I appreciate the no BS discussion and banter on these pages!

Cheers,
Dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum! I‘ve been fortunate enough to visit AUS but I haven’t hunted there. We did go out crabbing close to Port Douglas and I remember the little boat (dingi) just being big enough to carry two people, some crab nets and a rather large ice chest filled with cold beverages, and it was good fun!

Anyway, looking forward to hearing from your buffalo hunt!

Kind regards
Aj Fourie.

Welcome Dan

Welcome aboard!

Hi Dan. Welcome to AH from rural Idaho. My husband has hunter buffalo several times now …and I go with him. It is definitely a thrilling and often terrifying experience, especially in thick brush. Hunting buffalo is definitely addictive. I can understand why you dream of it daily! Beautiful sable by the way! Congratulations. Happy hunting. Sue

:S Welcome:
