BTW folks, The sign was broken and gave this goofy reading. It's never been that cold there. IIRC it was only -40f.

Couldn't have been too far off if you factor in the wind chill.. Damn. Only -40? Break out the shorts and tank top!!!

There's been many times here in Colorado that with the wind chill factored in, it's well below -30 or less. Damn I hate it. I hate it being too hot as well but I prefer the heat. I'm stuck here unfortunately with cold weather that lasts from October to late April. Snows even in June here on occasion. I love the late Spring/early Summer and Fall most of all in Colorado, those are the best times for me personally.

Today, it is a nice warm - 10c here. Getting the sleds out to hit the Ottawa river and do some ice fishing. Next week it should be safe enough to take the truck out ... pretty funny when you are driving on the blue screen of the GPS indicating water and the automated voice is telling me to turn around as soon as possible.

I like fishing BUT sitting on a block of ice holding a rod while the wind blows snow horizontal ain't my idea of fun- even if it's dead calm! Heck, the line freezes in the guides and you nose drips ice ciicles.
