At dawn tomorrow the four of us head out for the Save Conservancy for a five day hunt. This will be a classic hunt, pithy's, Courteneys and all the trimmings. The menu is three buff cows and a few impala, and hopefully a bush pig for a smoked quarter on the Christmas table. A good portion of the buffalo meat will be going to a mission school, should feed them for many months. Will also take the air rifle for some doves on the fire.

Do not forget the pictures of the whole group in pith helmets! with a nice black and white effect :)

Just a shame that you haven't yet received your Heym. But is that your old Ruger N°1 making an appearance again?

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
