Would you like a Cigar?

lots of cedar and toast flavor according to post here a few months ago. I've had about 15-20 different cigars this year that I've never had before, its top 3

How do you like that Montecristo? I am wanting to start trying more of the brand.

This was a Cuban Monti, much different than the Dominican cigars, however, very similar to the Nicaraguan Montis. This cigar had very good taste (it had hints of chocolate, coffee & anis). The burn was a bit irregular (I blame my friend's humidor for that :) ). But, besides that, a pleasant and mellow med cigar. I've had very good luck with Dominican & Nicaraguan Montis, obviously every taste is different, but I believe you will like them. If you want full body cigars, go with the Nicaraguans. The Monti Espadas are great smokes. Cigar Page has Montis on sale regularly.

Well Mort, I appreciate the Titans taking down my division rival.

Any thing we can do to help. Took a couple of Comacho Reds to getter done. Maybe a Hoyo and a MF Le Bijou also.

I did by the way order a box of those MF Fonseca so we will see who is telling the truth about good or not

Just curious have any of you heard/ subscribed to cigarclub.com or have used a subscription service like this before? any thoughts on whether it is worth it or not?

On the surface it would appear to be a good deal. But as Brent mentioned, never too sure what you might get, and sometimes I think they just ship to you some of those “namebrand” overruns you see discounted so much on sale. I do really prefer to pick my own poison too.

I find the non-cuban Montis to be very different than their excellent Cuban counterparts. Not a bad cigar, not just a great cigar. I find they typically try to capture more price on name than on performance. JMO.

I agree. I would rather put together a "make your sampler" where you get to choose 10 singles from 50 choices.

However if you don't like doing the legwork and reading reviews before buying, then a Club might be for you.

For me, cigar smoking is a very personal thing, and not two individuals will have the same taste. Like wine, Scotch, Tequila, etc, what may be good for one, may not be for the next. With a cigar club like that, you will get what they think is a quality sampler. Maybe two or three will be premiums cigars, while the rest will be no name brands. I rather buy them on my own, and choose what I like. Best thing to do, is to find a friend who has a well stocked humidor. :) LOL!!!!!

I’ll be honest. 90% of what I am smoking or trying as far as new cigars are concerned have come from the post on this AH page. I even go back to the beginning and read previous post. As such, not sure if I am using the rest of the forum as guinea pigs, or just respect their opinions enough to risk trying something else. Regardless, it has worked. I have about 500 cigars in house, about half of those from you guys! Thanks in advance for your willingness to participate in my habit.

so I was sent a magazine from famous smoke with some digital coupons on the back if anyone has a use for them they are not one time use just one coupon per order.

Excellent idea. And thank you from my family to yours for yours and their service to our country.

Boy, those came in quick! Makes my mouth drool looking at those.... (y)

Let me know if you find yourself in my neck of woods in GA. I'll treat you to a good cigar, and that goes to everyone here.
