Not opposed necessarily to 2027, but really thinking 2028 or after.

Trying to gather some information on options for a lion hunt, open to any and all areas outside South Africa. I am looking for a quality hunt and adventure, but not looking for the biggest lion, fanciest accommodations, and most cushy hunt money can buy. I understand all lion hunts have jumped in price, and have seen some that simple well above what I’d consider…when prices start reaching some of the Asian sheep hunts, my interests shift that direction. It may well prove that a lion hunt is one I need to defer until after I finish some other sheep interests, but I’m serious enough that I had to at least inquire.

Please feel free to PM whatever information and details you’d want to share. And thanks in advance to any and all who respond.

Cheers,
Will

Already send Dalton a message before posting. Know he’s pretty busy presently so figured I’d get an other intel for comparison. I’ll need to catch up with him before too long to sort a charter for October and such anyway.

Hey Will!
Hope you are well buddy. I have 1.6 million acres in the Niassa Reserve and have 7 lion tags annually. Its a proper wild experience.
I will send you my material to look over. Below are a couple recent cats I have taken there.
Lets chat soon.
Best
Dave

Thanks for the post Dave. Always a pleasure to hear from you. Exceptional cats in an overly wild area. Certainly sounds interesting. I’ll shoot you a WhatsApp.

Cheers.

Contact @DALTON & YORK SAFARIS for a quality lion hunt at a fair price.

Thanks Philip. As I mentioned in my reply just above to Craig, I already have. First person I reached out to. I know he’s had a lot going at once the past few weeks so wasn’t try to rush, and good time to gather intel on options even exist.

I literally know next to nothing on what to expect other than a few of those super high end hunts I’ve heard rumored selling above Altai Argali prices, which then becomes an absolute no brainer for me.

I’ll catch up with Dalton at some point I expect, or see him when I’m there in October. But I am trying to learn what I can here in the next week or two before my calendar goes to pot.

Always an exciting but crazy time of year. I leave for Dall sheep opener in two weeks, then three week break before taking daughter to Kotzebue for moose and caribou, then barely two weeks before I depart back to Zimbabwe. I plan my work commitments around those blocks every year but the few weeks in between each blocks…well I don’t get much sleep and make sure work/family are 100% covered.
