Where to get a couple of rifles appraised?

2 B better safe than sorry
I just called my insurance company to check what they would accept as appraisal if I of some unfortunate reason had to deliver an insurance claim on a some things.
About my rifles I was told they would eventually accept appraisal from a reputable auction firm.

Would you consider Holts auctioneers as a good option over here in Europe to get an appraisal from?

The rifles in question is a vintage Rigby BG and also a 1967 made ZKK 602.
I have of course no plans of ever selling these.

Or one of the gunmakers.....Westley...rigby etc I would have thought would be acceptable.....back in my previous life Paul gave valuations for my rigbys when he owned it...my insurance company accepted them

I'm surprised that your insurance carrier didn't suggest someone who they have worked with.

I know that when I went to have mine insured they gave me the name of a couple of people that would do the appraisal.

Call Collectibles Insurance Agency and get a separate policy for all your firearms. Way better rates than a rider from your typical agency.
