Hi guys, as above looking for a scope mount for a T/C TCR 83 rifle, same as the 87. This mount has an odd configuration, of 4 screws set in a rectangle, not in line like most. Made by Weaver, T/C and Redfield.

If anyone has some to sell or knows where same could be found, please PM me.

TIA

I'll keep an eye out for one. The one I see most often is the Leupold style. The T/C brand is highly treasured and unfortunately priced accordingly.

If all else fails, it might be possible to buy a section of Weaver style blank and have it contoured and drilled to fit your TCR.

I may have to get creative for sure, thanks for the comeback!!

One for sale on EBay, although a bit pricey.
Might be easier and cheaper to drill and tap and add a rail to the top.
I had an 83 with .22/250 and 7 mm mag barrels. Goofy safety, but otherwise an accurate and nice little rifle. I with TC would have kept the same forearm release for the Encore..

That one must have sold just before I got this rifle and I have seen that listing. I will find something.

Barrels can be had, but the mounts are in short supply. I've seen guys buy a spare barrel at a gun show just to get the scope mount. :(

I am already considering that method.

I’d call Eben at E. Arthur Brown and company. (EABCO.com)

They made most Of their career out of T/C customization. He may have what you need sitting in a drawer.

According to their website, they have nothing for the TCR guns.

He's asking for a unicorn. I don't think its going to be found on a website, its going to be found in a junk drawer at a gunsmith that dealt with T/C for 30 years or so. Hence, the advice of who to call.

I have a TCR 83/87 Magnum with 5 barrels. I resorted to having a gunsmith Make some scope bases. Didn't go well. I think it was the gunsmith just couldn't get it right ($500 bucks later)

The Good base mfrs (Talley, et. al.) sell blanks. Have a local machine shop drill it for you. (Or make the entire base set for that matter.) Neighbor/Friend both have machine/CNC shops so I have them do simple little things for me all the time. In return one gets million dollar views and cracks at big deer and the other prefers scotch.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
