Is there a specific reason for the WSSM request? Having such a short action really boxes you in when it comes to cartridge selection.

What are you building? Something chambered in a B&M cartridge?

I think that build requires a WSM and not a WSSM?
Problem is SSK isn’t building them currently…on wsm or wssm actions. I went down that route..
The WSM action is for the standard B&M cartridges. The WSSM action is for the “Super Short” B&M cartridges

Have you considered other actions? I know Browning made WSSM rifles and their bolt utilizes an M16 style extractor. Quite reliable.

That's a beautiful rifle with a gorgeous stock. Well worth their asking price IMHO. I'd like to find a similarly priced rifle in .458 B&M. Well, dreams are allowed aren't they? LOL9.3 B&M for sale here. Just FYI

Glad I’ve got my 416 B&M in LH but I was looking to build a non standard B&M but had to scrap it. Maybe @michael458 has an idea who might fill ssk’s shoes…

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
