Hi all. I've been trying to figure out how to attach photos to my posts for a couple of days but haven't really got anywhere with it. So I'll describe what I have and hopefully someone can clarify what's going on!

In the box with my new rifle came a set of sling studs (the stock already has studs in) and what I have managed to find out via the CZ550 parts diagram a #89 - Rear Spacer and #107 - Stay. Am I right in thinking that because it's the synthetic Aramid stock, that these parts come with it as they would have been used in a wood stocked version? I'm avoiding taking the rifle apart to see what's going on especially if someone here knows the answer. The stay looks like it would be something perhaps fitted into the stock to support the recoil lug?

I assume the aluminium bedding in the Aramid stock means that these parts aren't needed, but then I'm a little confused as to why CZ would include them with the gun?

You are correct. They are used in the wood stock models but not required in the synthetic model.
The Rear Spacer (#89) stops the wood from being compressed when the rear action screw is tightened.
The Stay (#107) is used to distribute the recoil into a couple of slots in the wood stock in front of the action.
I suspect that they are included so if you ever decide to get a wooden stock you have the hardware for the conversion.
The same could be said for the spare sling studs. If you ordered a wood stock then it would come without the studs but be pre drilled for them.

Thanks Geoff, that's put my mind at ease! I'll throw them in a drawer in my gun room just in case I ever need them. I don't suppose I will but you never know

Make sure you put them in a bag and label them. Most of us end up with a drawer full of misc parts with no idea what they were once for .

Closer to topic, I have recently bought a couple of second hand Brno ZKKs. At some time in the past their owners have swapped stock or done various other things with the result that parts like the ones you mention are missing. The combination of age, and the local distributor's reluctance to stock spare parts, has meant a making or improvising parts to get the rifles back up to standard.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
