I'm down to two broadheads for dangerous game. Choices are German Kinetic silver flame - 210 grain and VPA two blade - 200 grain.

Have read good reviews on these broadheads in past, but wanted to ask the AH group for their opinions.

Looking at using one of these for buffalo.

So, what are everyone's thoughts?

I used a 150 grain silver flame on the buff pictured on the right. Got a pass through. Total arrow weight 844 grain, 81 lb Mathews Monster Safari, 28" draw. I have not used the heavier one nor have I used any VPA broadheads but hear great things about them.

Good deal! Our setups are nearly identical. Appreciate your help!

I have used those same broaheads on Giraffe and buff and Works beautifully, so you can´t go wrong with them. Good choice

Awesome! Congrats on your success!!

Glad to hear that both were successful for you. Makes me feel comfortable with the two options. Think I'm leaning more towards the Kinetics, but have time to think about it.

Thanks!

I also shot a giraffe with the same German Kinetic setup I used on the buffalo. I got a frontal shot with 27 inches of penetration.

I am a user of VPAs broadheads with excellent results every time, but in my opinion, German Kinetics (the real ones) are one step above

German Kinetics gets my vote.

A broadhead with out cut out vents penetrate better as the cutouts let meat and bone shards enter and increase friction, Ashby proved this.

I have never shot German Kinetic. I have been shooting VPA for several years , 1 peace machined steel solid broadhead , I wouldn't worry about it not doing its job. Forrest

I can't see any head being stronger or designed better that the two blade VPA for DG.

Appreciate the insight. What makes you feel that they are a step above?

to be fair, only gut feeling...maybe something about "german made" and my german wife :D

No worries. It's a broad head thread.

Arrowed quite a few aus water buff with 210 grain german kinetics, compound bows ranging from 68-86lbs bows, arrows ranging from 650-850 grains, draw lenght 32". Great broad head.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
