Hunting reports

For my next hunt in SA I am wanting to hunt a Tsessebee. I know they are one of Africa's fastest antelope and are a herd animal but that is about it. Anyone hunted one who could tell me what kind of hunt to expect?

I killed mine after one of the trackers spotted a group of three feeding together near a small dam. We were distracted watching some kudu the other direction.
We made a 30-40 minute stalk and shot him between 1-200 yards. It seemed to me the bulls love to rub in the mud . Mine was feeding and never knew we were there. I didn’t feel like they were as spooky as other antelope but I would guess that is area specific. I know they got scarce after I killed mine!
Go to YouTube and check out the footage of killing mine. “Buffalo and plains game with game4africa safaris 2025.” Much of the stalk got edited out for time sake. There was a cool moment where a lechwe bull pushed a cow between us and the tsessebe and I thought we were busted. It isn’t in the film which is a shame. Not the most interesting trophy I’ve ever taken but I’m glad I did it.

Besides South Africa and Namibia, where else is possible to hunt Tsessebe?

I saw lots of them during a photo safari in Chobe National Park in Bots. Beautiful animals.

They will require a permit to hunt. Sometimes that permit can be difficult on short notice, so arrange with your outfitter when you book.

not the fancy posed picture. We were on a property with a reasonable population so it was a matter of finding an older male and a couple of stalks and a 150 yard shot. Beautiful animals.

Mine was in a herd, and I had to wait patiently until I could get a clear shot

Found this link after it was mentioned in a UK https://www.casino-sistersite.co.uk/curacao-casinos/ gaming group where people were debating how different jurisdictions affect player confidence. Rather than grand promises, commenters shared specific moments they felt either reassured or uncertain - like how easy it was to find clear payout rules or reach customer support. That grounded discussion helped me reflect on what I actually value when deciding where to engage.
Hunting a tsessebe in South Africa can be an exciting and challenging experience. They are indeed one of Africa’s fastest antelope, often reaching speeds over 35 mph, and they are highly alert, which makes getting close on foot very difficult. Most hunts are conducted by either spot-and-stalk or from a vehicle in areas where they are accustomed to some human presence, but even then, patience and stealth are essential. Because they are herd animals, you’ll often see multiple individuals at once, and the dominant males can be aggressive and wary, so choosing your target carefully is important. Expect a hunt that requires both physical endurance and sharp observation skills, with plenty of walking or glassing from elevated positions. A professional outfitter familiar with tsessebe behavior will make a huge difference in locating and successfully harvesting one. Overall, it’s a hunt that rewards preparation, patience, and respect for the animal’s speed and alertness.

Be careful of hunting Chewore South, the area has been decimated.....

Curious about this. I hunted Chewore South with D&Y in September and they did tell me it was there last hunt there.

Which outfits shot it out?
