Transiting thru Zurich

Can anyone tell me if they have travelled thru Zurich with firearms. Any requirements?

Thanks Brick? It really doesn't tell you if you need the permit if you are just travelling thru and your guns are in checked baggage.

You would need German to read the docs.

This was the only part that I thought might affect you.
"You also require a permit for temporarily importing firearms in the course of a trip or journey."

I would be sending an email directly to these guy at the Federal Police.

I have traveled Madrid/Zurich/Johannesburg, all I had to do was notify the airline, Swiss Air.

I have dealt with FedPol and found them extremely helpful. Ask them. The Swiss have this wonderful attitude where they try and help you to comply with the law...most refreshing!
