I came across this the other day. It's an interesting explanation to illustrate just how large the African continent is.

There are some inaccurancies (Alaska seems to be missing!) and there is some criticism in the comments that follow the article, but either way, it certainly is thought-provoking.

Interesting piece. I have been travelling Africa since 1995 and have never realized what this map points out. Thanks for sharing it.
