The time is flying by as I prepare for my first safari. We depart on August 4th for the east cape. Time to test pack and see where I am at with hunting clothes.

AWESOME! Did you go through the Safari Guide section of AH? Have you been practicing off of sticks? Are you taking your own gun?

Great stuff.
Enjoy the excitement.

What are you hunting?

Jealous! You can never have another first safari. Mine was also in the EC. Have a great time.

Western WA here who you Hunting with ?? Oh the first one might as well figure a couple more at least[emoji41]

Good luck on your "First" safari, you will love the Eastern Cape. Great list although you may want to take some extra cash for the "what ifs" that usually popup in Africa.

Wish you the best !

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
