The "BUBBA AWARD"

Haha, classic Bubba tragedy that Marlin 46A takedown getting drilled for a scope across the joint is peak didn't read the manual work. Ruins the whole charm of the takedown feature for zero gain.
Some legendary Bubba fails I've seen /heard:
SKS with a full length Picatinny rail JB Welded straight to the receiver top, then painted OD green over cosmoline residue. Scope fell off mid shot.
Mauser 98 sporterized into a "pistol" by hacksawing the barrel to 16" and adding a vertical grip turned it into an unregistered SBR nightmare.
Old double barrel shotgun "shortened" with a torch, barrels uneven, one bent like a banana, stock wrapped in duct tape for "cammo."
Mosin with a Tapco stock, hogged-out for an AK mag, and a red dot mounted via epoxy on the rear sight leaf. Looked like Fallout cosplay gone wrong.
Remington 700 bolt action Bubba'd into a "bullpup" with the action flipped backward trigger linkage was a coat hanger mess.

I'll tell on myself with one. For the background on this, I have a Henry 45 colt I shoot suppressed, and for anything suppressed I like to be subsonic if possible with the heaviest for caliber bullets I can get to maximize energy while staying quiet. For this reason, I handloaded a bunch of 45 colt ammo with the 395 grain hornady sub-x bullets which is a good suitable load for the rifle and circumstance. I also had an Uberti army Remington with a 45 colt conversion cylinder. I knew then and know now that you aren't supposed to run jacketed bullets or exceed cowboy action pressures in these conversion cylinders and I did both. My dad lives close by and has a range setup at his house (which is also where I reload) and he was feeding his sheep when I went to go shoot. I actually told him I'm about to go try something stupid and shoot the loads I made for my Henry in that revolver. I was expecting some recoil with the heavy bullets and instead got none at all. The cylinder exploded on the first shot and deformed the top strap. I never found the rest of the cylinder, but I did find the bullet on the ground in the dirt in front of the berm and it looked like the back of the bullet had a peice chewed out of it. Luckily all that happened was damage to the gun and minor damage to the table I was shooting over.

You're a lucky man, you should play the lotto...

I can't verify but I was told that the ATF has a very highly engraved AH Fox side x sides that now has a pistol grip with barrels hacksawed even with the forearm. Not sure if my eyes could handle seeing that one.

Years ago I was shooting in England. An armed robbery story hit the news. The fellow was using a shotgun he’d burgled to rob a convenience store. He’d sawn the barrels and stock off. Turns out it was a Purdey SxS game gun.

That should get him more time than armed robbery.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
