I recently finished up this Texas female. She was a mature cat but not overly big. Guy killed her this Spring while turkey hunting. I tried a few new techniques I learned at a seminar a few months back. I think she came out pretty good. I only do 1-2 cats per year and just never get comfortable enough with them.

If the stars align, you gonna mount your own leopard?

Nice
I have all ways liked the bobcat.
The few I have taken were small.
It’s the one animal I would have mounted on the wall if I get one of the few big ones I have seen

Nice looking bobcat mount, well done

To be honest it looks great. I see seasoned taxidermists and famous taxidermist companies butchering those cats. Most do great work on all other species but when mounting a cat I would go to a specialist. Seeing your bobcat you definitely have the skills and talent for it and that is rare.

Thank you sir. It's a struggle every time since I do so few.

However, I will say that there is an educational movement happening in taxidermy currently that is allowing many taxidermists to improve. Lots of people are sharing insights and techniques at seminars and Youtube etc. In this day and age, there is no reason to be putting out subpar work !

I don't remember, I think her name is Ashely, she is the cat lady in one of the Carolinas. I don't know her personally but her cats look really good.

There is a guy in Montana that specializes in big cats as big life sizes. He is probably the best on leopards and mountain lions.

Her name is Amy. There is another lady named Ashley, her videos are not quite as good.

Ashley Eve and Amy Carter are the two "cat ladies" :ROFLMAO: Another bobcat taxi that is getting famous is Abel Everage.
The big cat guys are Phil Soucy, Aaron Schulte and Daniel Meng.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
