Swift .375 300 grain A-frame

Wow.

Amazing that a product that has that much demand is basically available one day a year. It really makes no sense.
One day a year?…. First time I’ve heard of them being in stock in years.

I would love to have some, but every time they become available in a caliber I want, I’ve already acquired enough of another brand to last me for years.

I’ve been able to acquire Woodleigh 350gr SNRN easier and faster than A Frames and Woodleigh had a factory fire on the opposite side of the earth…..

I bought some in late November 2024. They didn’t ship until February because they said they had the bullets but we’re waiting on boxes. That’s why was on the lookout the last couple of months. It seems this is about the time they do a production run.

Again, crazy that they don’t figure out how to up production. I think they could double the price and still sell out. Nearly every PH I’ve heard tells their client this is the bullet to use but then no one can find them.

I’ve got 73 frame 375 300 grainers left from my buff hunt in August. They just didn’t get along with my Win 70 as well as the Barnes X.
Unfortunately, I paid $4 a head when I was desperate to try em. Pm me if you’re in need. One box still sealed.

I suspect they keep some stock to sell person to person at trade shows. At least they had some to sell when they came through here last spring-

I bought a box of AF's, but I've got the TSX's ready to roll and feel just fine about it!

I’m done doing business with swift, clearly they don’t know how to run a company. Barnes TSX, used on over 40 head so far never a single problem with performance. And if a guy wants something else why not go with north fork, at least that guy is trying to supply the demand and he’s in Switzerland or some shit. Are you expecting me to believe that it’s easier to make bullets there than in Kansas….rediculous.

Agreed with all. Particularly if you are reloading on a new rifle you can go through a good number of rounds trying to figure out what works. Hard to like trying Swifts if they are $100 a box and you have to hope you can get them once a year. Barnes seems to have a very good reputation and they are almost always available. I have about a box and a half of Swifts from SCI last year and I just keep them to prove to people that they actually exist.

If you reload and want A-Frames, you’re practically shit out of luck. If you buy loaded ammo, then Pendleton Ammunition has the largest selection that I’ve seen available.

Why are there such availability issues?
I appears they make a run of them once a year. The owner claims that since he is in a small town there isn't enough of a labor force to expand production. I feel like the demand is high enough he could charge more and offer a high enough wage to attract more workers. But it is his business and his decision to make.

It is basically a family business. When the founder steps away it will be interesting to see if things are changed by the next generation or maybe the design gets sold or licensed to someone with more manufacturing capacity.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
