Storing rifles

I usually apply a good coat of renaissance wax to any gun that will be left untouched for a while, and I frequently take most of my guns out just because I like to, so I have never had a problem with oil damaging the stock.

I store all my break action guns (mostly doubles) muzzle down. I store my bolt guns muzzle up. No issues.
