I will be damned . That is 1 sleek looking rifle , Mark . I would imagine that the 9.3 ×62 mm Mauser calibre variants shall be seeing some use in Africa .
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention .

I discovered this one only this morning. So, I thought to share it. In the flood of modern rifles with plastic and aluminium parts, I think this one stands out on the market.

And although I am more keen to classic turn bolt rifles, this one is very interesting to me. (in fact there is nothing that I dislike on this one)

What is missing for Africa, is in fact 375 HH and 458 WM options, but for plains game they have quite an assortment of calibers.

Have you already noticed the straight pull rifles of Lynx Rifles of Finland?

The large knob that they put on the action doesn't look traditional but it is easy to grasp.

They don't do really big ones, though. 9,3 x 62 Mauser and .375 Ruger are the heaviest that they list.

According to their site, the "magnum" version is chambered in .375 Ruger. It seems to be essentially a traditional rifle but with a straight pull action. I assume there should be a market for such a rifle among those who want a straight pull. However, I suspect Blaser will retain a competitive advantage due to caliber interchangeability and the transportability of a take down firearm.

I agree in above estimate.
Blaser has marketing machinery and dealers world wide, good reputation, global presence and additional features which HS, HM rifle doesnt have, as pointed above..
Also more calibers available in blaser rifles.
Blaser has established it self on Afircan hunting as well, as it seams. ;)

In this particular case HS HM steel action:
My guess for 375 ruger cal. it is available because with coal 3.34 inch can fit into their long action. So it is nice contribution to the production line.
458 win mag missing on offer, (with same coal 3.34'') probably because African hunting community is not yet targeted for marketing by manufacturer. (my rough guess, I can be wrong)
375 HH will need probably magnum action, which is different category. So not on offer.

New rifle on the market, all steel concept, we will see how it will go. At the moment I see it as a "northern hemisphere" hunting rifle, up to bear and moose.
And it is not exactly budget rifle, as well.

Interesting cocking piece design, unlike any other rifle of this kind that I've seen.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
