My wife was wanting one of those squirrel boxes after seeing videos on the Internet. I got her one and decided to put it up today. I told her she would have to get the camera app downloaded and working and then I'll put it in the box. It is nice and comes with a a solar charger for the battery. Might have to get a Wi-Fi booster for signal.

Does anyone else have one of these?

In order to attract a squirrel you must become a squirrel.

Squirrels love to come up on the deck and dig in the flower pots and leave their walnuts stashed in various places.

Yes, I have squirrel boxes...but with very different intentions. Made specifically for Conibear 120's.

I totally understand the different intentions of each of your squirrel boxes. Please understand if I don't share your intentions with my wife. Lol

110s and 120s are marvelously effective. I opted for a Crosman 2200 with scope.

Each to their own. Squirrels here like to get into house attics, and I am a birder. They get no mercy from me.

I hope your boxes are as successful as ours. And you are a saint for putting it up for her.

FYI - our kind of boxes were my wife's idea so I'm a little bit of a saint too. :V Make My Day:

I understand. My wife is too kind hearted when it comes to animals, even if they are causing problems. We had a mouse in the house a couple of years ago and she wanted me to figure out how to live trap him and release him outside.

She doesn't mind if I hunt, she just doesn't want details. Elephant and Giraffe are off limits though. I can live with those terms.

The thing about squirrels is they are just like gophers, and in the immortal words of Carl Spackler: "Licensed to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. A man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong... that's it! the Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote."

Best response I have read today. Thank you for the afternoon laugh.

@Mark458 As your Corporate Safety Director, I must remind you of the potential severity of your actions. Would you like to end up on a bad OSHA video? Hmm? Also, as someone I plan to hunt with, I find your blatant disregard for your own safety insubordinate and churlish. Did you consider the amount of discomfort and aggravation it would bring me if you fell to your ultimate demise? I think not. I will see you first thing Monday morning for fall protection retraining. (I will also be using this picture in my upcoming, "What not to do" presentation.
Good day,
Hedge

If you zoom in on the picture you will notice I had a proper climbing belt and was attached to the tree. In my younger, and dumber days, I would have been working without a net.

I was trying everything to figure how you got up there! Hahaha I know who to call if I need tree work!

Most of you would love the Squirrel Hunter Channel from the U.K.

THIS is a proper squirrel box. ;)

Action starts at about the 4:30 mark.
