I would like to share a few recent trophies taken by a fine young hunter. The young man's name is Adriaan Venter. Adriaan will be 15 years old this December. He is the son of one of our veteran PHs Willem Venter. These exceptional animals were taken by Adriaan a few days apart on one of the ranches that his father has managed for years. I told him he can now quit hunting... He has taken the coolest kudu and the biggest warthog he will probably ever see in his lifetime.

Adriaan is an excellent student, very good athlete, and a promising apprentice PH. He has done very well in school and these trophies were part birthday gift, part reward for excelling in his studies. Adriaan hopes to become a veterinarian, in addition to following in his father's footsteps as a PH. I had the pleasure of spending some time in camp with Adriaan, and I can tell you that he is an intelligent, well spoken young man, mature beyond his years. His knowledge of game and African hunting is truly impressive.... Now if I can just get him to start bowhunting...

The kudu and the warthogs were taken from the same concession that we had killed our monster warthogs last month. This concession, by the way, is now being leased and managed by Hannes exclusively for our guests. It had not been hunted in 5 years, and the genetics speak for themselves. We saw several more kudu bulls on this property that were exceptional. I tried talking Adriaan into having his trophy mounts hung in the new lodge at Limcroma, but so far he is not having any of it... I can't say as I blame him...

Nice job son. That kudu will make an unbelievable mount should you choose to mount him

state of the art on trophies.id love to get a kudu like that.pedestal mount i hope.

There is an AH Get Together, up here in Anchorage Alaska, on October 24th and after learning about Adriaan Venter ... At said gathering, I plan to propose that everyone raise their glass, to his Father, Willem Venter for bringing up this lad mighty proper.

The sniper shot on the first Warthog is impressive.

He will be waiting a long time to beat it, but I think at his age he has some room.

Very unique Kudu.

Congrats to this young hunter.

Neat animals.

Congratulations to the young man.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Congrats to the hunters! Awesome Trophies.

very nice indeed! That Kudu will also make an interesting mount

Good for him! Those are some very fine trophies and a very unique kudu.

Wow, excellent! That's gotta be the coolest kudu ever

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
