Agreed, but you ARE going to have to buy her more coffee--she hasn't posted in a while.
Yes she has lots of coffee and the fancy coffee machines. And when her guy in the Whitehouse threatened Columbia, she cheered and sent me right out to stock up;)

She has just been busy getting her castle in order :) I've been telling her that all her loyal subjects are asking for her presence. However I think she may be shopping for crocodiles for the moat next now that the guns are ordered ;)

I'm afraid I'll have to stick to the Whiskey if I want my beautiful wife to kiss me. She hates the taste and smell of beer. And some not not believe it, but she is worth giving up beer for;)
Guinness is stout, a distinctly different flavour and aroma but let not that put you off visiting the Hop Store. I’m sure they will serve some of the amber nectar in the Sky Bar. The view over Dublin is impressive.

This will be in Houston this April. The top growers and baristas will be there. We have several representatives from our town and province that will be there.

Safe travels.

Maybe I missed someone posting it but does anyone here have the PH version of the Big Game? I’m on the fence on whether to get a Highland Stalker or a Big Game. If I go for the Big Game I was considering the PH.

I think I would like the simpler wood, it reminds me of the vintage guns. I had always thought, and someone from the British gun trade confirmed it that wood used to be much more simple back in the day. Stocks chosen for durability or looks.

Odd that none of these pictures are truly representative of actual color, but I did prefer this stock to others. Straight and simple grain.

Have a PH and a BG, and can’t tell much, if any difference in stocks, they’re both very nice. I’m thinking your PH vs HS decision might revolve around caliber and weight? It’s been a few years, so I don’t know what’s current between them.

I don’t think there is much if any difference in the weight, at least from my understanding. I absolutely love the look and feel of SSB with the stepped barrel, and if I was going open sights only I think I would go with the 450.

But for practicalities sake I think I go for a DSB in 416.

DSB in .416 with a S&B Exos is the ticket. :-).

Too late to the party maybe, but here's mine. 416, made by Paul Roberts in the late '90s, received from an old family friend, a special gift indeed. I already posted here on AH. It shots very well, and most important, it fits me very well. A dream rifle for sure. Never shot at game yet, hope it will soon.

Rather fond of mine, and the darn thing shoots like it should. The heavy weight, wide pad sucks up the recoil, and just an awesome feisty redhead. Performed flawlessly first trip over last year. About to take it back across again one week from today…will see less action as the main goal is my13yo daughter’s first safaris, so hoping she does most the shooting. Will say seems there is a reason all my customs over the last 20+ years are synthetic stocked and coated…I can’t be trusted with nice things.

I’ve got 2 Rigby Big Games. One is a DSB in 375 H&H with a 1-4 Kahles. The other is a SSB PH in 416 Rigby. The timber on both are very nice. I believe that both are grade 5 timber. The only difference I can pick between the PH and the standard BG is that the PH has no colour case hardening. Both rifles tact drive.

The 375 is on the left of the three Rigbys.

All of my Rigbys were purchased new from the Australian Agent. Nothing especially ordered for me. The DSB was the first one. Then the HS and finally the SSB.

I’d love a Rigby Double but I keep buying Blasers and going hunting instead. Oh well.

I do like that quarter rib on your big game. Unless I'm mistaken, that is not an option anymore on the current BG rifles?

I would bet every ding and scratch on that rifle holds a memory. Never be ashamed of a well used rifle.:)
