Seeking ideas and photos for buffalo skull mount on a pedestal

I like that one. That's pretty close to what I'm thinking too. Maybe with the @Spearhead suggestion about tilting it down to see more boss and less nasal cavity.......
@towserthemouser Reason I am going to build the one I sent is because I am adding a push magnet door to store bullets for reloading. Will have hunting photo hanging above it or close by. I'm considering lazy Susan type shelves to utilize the entire space (though small) and center pole that holds skull as the pivot point for shelves.

Skull/horn mount but not pedestal. Just an idea.

The top picture of the floor pedestal is my work. I did that piece for a fellow AH’r.

Thanks Erik, and my apologies for not remembering who it belongs to.

Take a look at these two. Unfortunately I cannot recall where I found these photos and can therefore give due credit neither to the taxidermist nor to the owner, but consider them food for thought.

First one: On a carved shield; just need to adjust the angle to suit your preferences.

Second one shows a shoulder mount on a cast-metal (aluminum?) pedestal. In your case, you would use a Euro mount adjusted to the appropriate angle.

Very possible that the original photos came from AH, so perhaps someone will recognize them and provide further information. Good luck with whatever you decide.
This shoulder mount one is at African Sky Hotel in Johannesburg I am hoping to do something like this also, any suggestions are appreciated.

My wife’s buffalo on our sideboard.

Anyone know where the shield came from- the two buff mount with the spears?

Several taxidermist can do the Zulu shield with spears. I know Lauriston (out of Grahamstown) Taxidermy does something very similar - here's a Pic I took at their shop a month or so ago.

I was very tempted to put my Kudu or Impala on one of these... although now the thought of buffalo is also a consideration instead of a wall plaque.

My friend outside San Saba,Texas, America makes these. Super nice, He could do the shaft any length.

Thanks. We overnighted at Africa Sky several years ago and probably saw it there.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
