Lana's Scimitar Horn Oryx
We just got back from a vacation in New Mexico.
Lana didn't hunt at all this winter and was itching to hunt something.
Booked a cull (broken horn or similar) hunt for her to do on the way home from NM.
It was really hot, about 105.
The kill was quick and clean about 100 yards.
Animal went down immediately.

yeah us too, she was about to take a shot at a one horn male that had a huge body and one very long horn.
But, just in time for him, this female came into view and she preferred the one with 2 horns, with one kinda funky.
It took a while before she could get a clean shot at it and she almost went back to the big male.
I'm torn because she was smaller and skinnier. His backstraps would have been 3 times bigger...lol.
She is happy though, so I am happy.

My son Parker when he was 8 took this 40" cow on a ranch near Lampasas, Texas. This is a great game ranch, over 4000 acres with no internal fences and a Scimitar herd in excess of 300 animals. I have taken clients there for years and everyone rebooks!

Yes, but you need a Permit from Nature Conservation.
