I have no problem with it's looks. not the classic stock style but a hybrid blend of old and new.

if I read this right it is a switch barrel bolt gun, Not straight pull like the R8?

Has a cocker decocker saftey.

I would compare it more to the Dakota traveler concept than a R8.

Correct - Decocker, Switch barrel, Saddle style optic mounting
I've never handled a Traveler so I can't speak to its similarity, but the barrel swapping system IMO is very reminiscent of a R8
I'm outta the office till the 30th but if you are interested I'll make a little movie with one to show you guys in more depth when I return

Did you get any barrels as well? All I see are guns on the site but without the availability of barrels, this looks a DOA.

Didn't like it at first but it has kinda grown on me.

Ive had some barrels in, but they are still rare - not super available yet
