Ruger Express 30/06

For Sale- Ruger Express 30/06. Un-Fired a safe queen. I purchased this from the Ruger CEO
Stephen L. Sanetti . I have a letter certifying the rifle as his and signed by him. It’s too pretty for me to field and shoot. I had a stroke this past year and cannot find the box which i could have sworn i kept. So this will ship in a rifle sock inside a foam padded hard case. Shipping to be paid by the purchaser. I thought i would try to sell it in here 1st. $2400 plus shipping costs lower 48 only.

Yes. Very sexy. And too pretty for me to bring hunting. I also have a M77 308 made by a Ruger gunsmith in New Hampshire at their old plant. It’s a heavy barrel M77 with safari sights in 308. I got that one from his estate when he passed. He had 458’s and 375’s but wanted the same gun in 308 for cheaper practice. That wood is not even close to this express. But the bluing is mint.

Forgive my ignorance, but it this basically the forerunner to the African Hawkeye? I've seen so many of us longing for another run of 30-06's.

I’m not sure but I do love that 30/06 guide gun. That looks a little heavier in the barrel profile.

The express is the smaller brother to the Ruger RSM. It has the integral quarter rib, the barrel banded sling stud, and a fancy stock with steel grip cap, and ebony forend tip.
These were premium rifles that Bill Ruger allegedly lost money on.
I just sold my 338 express rifle which is on the way to its new home currently.

I bought Stephen Sanetti's pristine 1989 Ruger Mark II pistol for the minimum bid of $280 back in 2024. Like the OP's rifle it had a letter of authenticity signed by him as well as his employee receipt in the original box. I was stunned that no one else bid on it. It's a great little pistol to plink with.
