Recommendations for fishing near Reykjavik, Iceland

My wife and I are headed to Iceland for a few days at the beginning of April and I want to fish a couple of days. Wife will probably allow only one....... Any recommendations? mainly looking for lake, stream and river.

(b) The average maximum daily temperature in inhabited parts of Iceland in April is about 5C. Although there is plenty of daylight in April, spring doesn't really start till May. So you'd better not mind it cold, bitingly cold in the frequent wind.

Thanks I have read some of that. The seasons all start on April 1. I am not afraid of the cold, but the ice worries me. i just want to get out and look at the landscape and figure, if possible, i might do it with a fishing rod in my hand!

Yah, Would have liked to do that! Any suggestions for a first time Iceland visitor? I''m going for a week. My wife has planned the usual things, northern lights, glacier trip, would love to do some snowmobiling.
