The only reason I took up reloading initially was to feed the M1910.

I was into black powder at the time, so it was sort of a natural progression. There are whole other levels of involvement when firing the loads that you have crafted yourself as opposed to just feeding 'store bought' to one's rifle.

Brand new 9.5x57 MS Qual Cartridge brass at 44gr of IMR 3031

It sounds like that is a pretty standard load
You need to cut the primer pocket on qualicart brass as they are not correct. I had the same issue which after much headache I recut the pockets- problem solved! This after I foolishly even trimmed the firing pin!
