YancyW, can you remove the powder from the primer pocket with a cotton swab and or equivalent and then measure the diameter of the primer pocket and compare it to the diameter of a primer? It is possible that the pocket is just oversized. I've always thought that hot loads flattened primers whereas under powered loads moved them backwards or out of the pocket. Definitely contact Barnes and send photos. In the past Barnes was always very responsive to issues like this.
