Politics

The problem in France mainly comes from people who are "french" but only on their ID cards. They are born in the country so they are french according to our stupid and archaic laws but they are definitely not french by their behaviours and mindset.
When you see videos, you can identify them easily. Ethnic statistics are forbidden but we know all people from africa or middle east are the main problem. Not all for sure, but they are well over-represented in justice.
And the other big problem in the country is the far left with Jean-Luc Mélanchon who pushs them to destroy everything. He knows he doesn't have a lot of chance to win the next election in 2027 so he wants the chaos to take over the country by another way. Marine Le Pen from the far right has very good chance to win this election but I don't know if she can really do something ? As long as we will be a part of the europe, we will be tied. In 2005, we voted against europe but the president Sarkosy who was elected in 2007 decided to go against our choice in 2008. Now politics don't want to make new referundums because they know replys won't satisfy them.
A majority of people in France want to leave the Europe and they also want to get out the guillotine to kill pedophiles and terrorists, but politics don't want such democracy. And now, they are crying the far-right is so high in polls but they did everything for it.

As an outsider looking in. France and Western Europe will get worse before they get better. ie: Things didn’t start getting better in 1789 when the revolution began. They started getting better in 1794, eleven days after the beheading of the Carmalite Nuns, when “The Populace” realized things had gone too far. Robespierre was guillotined and the Jacobin rule ended. Then the healing began.

On a positive note. This week and yesterday woke a number of people up that have been intentionally obtuse to the situation in their countries. Awareness of the situation is the first step. France still has a ways to go before a Seizure of Les Invalides or a storming of the Bastil type moment happens.

I’m fearful that we haven’t fallen far enough yet for that. My hope is for Alberta to vote option two, and Quebec to also get a mandate to separate. I believe it’s the only way to break the Liberal mindset here.
I think you are going to be disappointed on both ends Boyd. But thanks for your well wishes.

We hope there will be an improvement very soon. At this stage, it is the chaos and the situation is out of control in many places. Police is not allowed to go in some suburbs to avoid bigger riots like we had in 2005 and in 2023.
Big problems started at the beginning in Marseille and in the departement of Seine Saint-Denis (close to Paris). But it has spread everywhere or almost now and even the little city close by is touched now. The only place where there is no problem is Corsica. It's definitely not the place where you can destroy everything without any huge consequences.
Corsicans are absolutely fearless and very vindicative if you try to touch to their culture and they proved many times. Few weeks ago, 2 young men who were drunk made a video on Tik tok where they were insulting and trying to make sex with a statue of the virgin Marie. They got caught by police before corsicans the next morning and during their audition, many corsicans were protesting in front of the police station. Some guys came with a coffin and the names of the two young were written on the coffin.
For their own safety, the 2 young men were quickly send back to France but they will face the justice pretty soon. I love corsican guys because they never give up.

I keep thinking about what Boumedienne said in 1974 at the Nato because he had reason.

Are you projecting ? You tell me counselor. Why would Quebec burn?

What does Q bec have in common with France, Italy, and England?

Besides enlightened, smarter than everyone else inhabitants
Quebec hasn’t burned. Yet.
You don't think the implication of this sentence (use of the word "yet") is that it might burn in the future?

There is hope for tourists that hoped to visit a unburned socialist France

Quebec hasn’t burned. Yet.

I saw the video but she doesn't say that :( She just said and repeated : '' What are you doing that ! It's not the cause". But It remains truly sad to see this poor shopkeeper crying.
However, there is a politic in the past, who was also a big crook, (Bernard Tapie) who was victim of a home jacking. They were very violent against him and his wife and he said them "I always defend you ! "
The reply from the 2 agressors was easy : "f*ck off ".

Napleon was Corsican was he not?
Yes, Napoleon 1st was a Corsican ! I cannot imagine to see such things in his native city, Ajaccio ! They can try but they will be shot dead on the spot by corsicans. They love guns, have plenty of them and are not scared to use them.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period…
