Politics

It's pretty comical how these left of center Chameleon Democrats will try to portray themselves as more moderate in their campaign commercials for reelection.
Commie Katie Hobbs is doing that here in Arizona in her bid to retain the governors seat.

Makes my skin crawl.
They do it because they know a substantial portion of the electorate is stupid!

You forget I'm from Montana, not Alberta. No universal health care down there. And yes, they do claim welfare. My buddy (from 1st grade through university) is a Montana optometrist. Welfare pays for their glasses. And you need to watch them cash in their food stamps at the grocery store. And YES, those fiercely "self sufficient" farmers are in the grocery stores and Walmart constantly. They are not Amish!

I almost had to shoot it out with them twice while bird hunting. They think they own the federal land the colony grazing leases from BLM. But the law in Montana CLEARLY states public has access to any federal or state land that adjoins public road or navigable water, no matter who puts a fence around it. A couple years back one cranky old prick actually pointed his handgun at my dog. I leveled my shotgun at his grandson standing next to him. German was my second language at university so no real language barrier. He got the message in no uncertain terms. Then I told him if he was thinking about f*cking with my vehicle while I'm hunting, he'd be looking at some dead cows in the night and/or bailer full of holes. When I finished for the day and walked out, a game warden was waiting for me. He asked if I threatened the guy. "He pointed a handgun at my dog. Whatta you think?" "Yeah, that sounds about right. Bunch of pricks. Just watch your back and know where the boundaries are located." To this day whenever I hunt that stretch of Beaver Creek I always see the colony's fancy Suburban Hootermobile crawling up and down the county road watching me. Thankfully that area is in cell range now. Also had another Hooter up near the border try to bluff me into leaving. But he backed off very quickly. He understood English expletives just fine. And he learned very quickly I know how to read a map ... even if he didn't.

They treat their women like dirt and the headman and his family always live high on the hog. Those colonies are macho Putinish autocracies. Headman is typically (but not always) the only one in the colony with drivers license. Alcohol can only be kept in his house and he is not adverse to imbibing. I got more than a bit tipped over drinking with the headman of a colony near Swift Current. Very good wine! Some kind of wild fruit in the mix. Saskatoon maybe?
I'm confused; you're drinking with those that would shoot your dog?

Hopefully the good people of Michigan can see fit not to elect these crazy assed loons.
My heart bleeds for the state of my birth!
I guess i see it different - the populous will vote in who the majority wants. I was born and raised in St. Johns, Michigan til I left on my 18th birthday for the Navy.

the link I tried to post here deals with a point found inside a mastodon bone. The whole story is about why the Folsom point time date on humans in north America is way ,way off. the more interesting thing to me was the narrator stated [about 10.00 ]that water running over rocks or bones pollutes the time line of carbon dating because water contains carbon,. and changes the carbon content. very interesting since the whole earth /rock layer was covered with water for an extended time. not what he was trying to make a point about and not from any religious prespective.,but cannot be ignored. utube video worth the watch if your into archology. " "weapon found inside mastodon bone".

This is a huge move

Hopefully someone gets charged with the unlawful manufacture and or purchase/possession of a non “stamped” suppressor and or SBR. So the USSC can rule on this overreach by the Federal Government and we are finally done with the ridiculous regulations regarding hearing protection.

The AI generated narration seems to overstate with some errors of its own the problem of dating Clovis and early humans in NA. No doubt carbon dating has to be carefully quantified and qualified when used. Ideally, scientists try to use more than one dating method for the estimates and such is required for serious published work. Any absolute statements should always be questioned and tested- science works best that way. The narration does not mention or take into account the discovery of human footprints in the Lake Lucero gypsum beds at White Sands NM which date to over 20,000 years ago. Honest skepticism and critical thinking from all sides is the best approach whether analyzing and dating discoveries such as Clovis artifacts or the bone weapon point embedded in the mastodon bone.

Similarly, reading the reports of the discovery of a small hominin spp (Homo luzonensis) including teeth and other bones dating 50,000 to over 130,000 years ago in Cagayan Province Philippines and the indirect evidence of hominin existence with the cutting tool marks on Asian rhino bones found in a cave in Kalinga Philippines dating to over 700,000 years ago… all make my brain go foggy :)

When in Mindanao, I also let my imagination wander a bit when I hear the clunks and clanks of debris, dropped by the tarsiers living in the tree canopy, hitting our metal roof at night.

I’m behind on this thread. After reading some of the posts from earlier this week this rendition of Caravaggio’s work seemed to fit well.

Another load of !$$@ from BIGEASY. Tony da Fouch got his start running the gov misinformation show with his involvement in “handling” HIV.

Did it ever occur to you that Dr. Fauci's over reaction to COVID was due to the Reagan administration's failure to properly address the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s?
Did it ever occur to you that nobody gives a flying f##k about your opinion and gaslighting?

Kinda like those 25% of Republicans that believe in QAnon conspiracy theories? I still haven't seen any evidence of the satanic baby killing, blood drinking, lizard people cabal Brent.

Speaking of looney tunes......here you are, right on que.

For our members on the left side of the political spectrum, with just a touch over 26 months until the next presidential election, who do you want to be the Democrat Presidential nominee? This droning on of hating Trump is getting old. Who do you want as the next president?
I'd like to see JB Pritzker. Democrats tend to do pretty well when they nominate old white guys.
