So, Trump has sway over Canadian voters? I wouldn't have expected that, or maybe they were just low information voters?

AJ

He absolutely does. He is hated by a large percentage of Canadians. Anyone who acts like Trump, likes Trump, or is liked by Trump is politically doomed in Canada.

Somewhat ridiculous I know, but it is absolutely true that Trump impacted the Canadian elections.

Interesting observations about obsessions of the average Canadian voter. Almost every voter here in the US I’ve talked to prior to the last few elections has been preoccupied with Trudeau or Carney…. Not!

It's not just Canadians, or Europeans, it's the entire World.

Travel to any country and watch their evening English language news. First up will be major World news, then whatever is happening in the United States Congress, Courts and the White House, then National news stories within that country, then Weather, Sports, etc.

Do we here in the U.S. obsess over what the leaders in Denmark, Tajikistan, or Paraguay are doing? Of course not, and they should pay less attention to what Trump says and pay more attention to what the Jackwagons in their own country are doing.

I was in Thailand working with the Royal Thai Marines during the Bush/Gore hanging chads election fiasco. Every news network in Asia ran story after story about it and the Thai's, even the civilians talked about it among themselves endlessly. Not what was going on in their own Government, or who would win the Muy Thai boxing Championship, but where the USSC would rule in favor of one over the other.

Since I was fluent in Thai, they would ask me my opinion frequently. I told them I read their newspaper, watch their news, listen to news in Thai on the radio, but I never ask them what their King or Royal family is doing, nor their Prime Minister, or Parliament, or Courts, because it's not my business.

I think other Countries that constantly obsess over Trump need to mind their own business.

Trump sits at the head of the strongest military on earth , when he started making crazy comments about the 51st state Canadians took him seriously we can’t afford not to if every Canadian took up arms in defence of the country ( which would never happen ) Americans still out number us roughly 10 to one. It comes down to simple logic you can choose to assume the gun pointed at your head is loaded or empty?

There is no way there wasn’t analysts monitoring the situation and the reaction the Canadian public was having to his comments and trump chose to continue his bullshit therefore we can conclude he wanted carney in power.

Maybe it's because we (USA) have the most free speech in the entire world and the other countries have at one level or another a government controlled and more single opinioned press? Discussion is more interesting when there are 2 sides to EVERY story.

Just a thought.

America, just by shear volume of its economy is shoved down every other countries throat, as you are the largest exporter of culture in the world. So yes, every other nation does have a un-healthy fixation on all things USA. Also, American decisions tend to have impacts felt across the globe, especially elections so it’s not hard to understand why locals in other countries would be paying attention. You guys took over the world in the 20th century, not physically, but economically and all eyes remain on you. And for what it’s worth, Americans aren’t really that well know for being informed, or caring about, what goes on outside their border. We we lucky to have many well travelled, well informed members here.

Rest assured though, there will come a time when the world will stop caring, be it in 50 or 500 years, all empires have an expiration date.

Many years ago I was sitting around the campfire in Mozambique with a mix of South African and Zimbabwean PH’s. It was during Obama’s first term if I remember correctly. Somehow the conversation turned to politics and they were all pretty well versed in the going’s on in American politics.
I stated they were probably better informed than the average American voter. One of them turned to me and said “you guys rule the world, it concerns us all”.

If the area is experiencing drought and not connected to any tidal flow, where is the rising water coming from? Are other areas with rivers feeding the lake experiencing excessive rain fall?

In the article....river omo ...also no rivers exit it as far as I know

Must’ve been distracted while scanning that part of the article, work gets in the way sometimes.

I just want enough to run a few lights and the heat so the pipes don’t freeze. Most of our outages are winter storm related.
Regular generator will do that. 18k Westinghouse will start your hvac system unless yours is huge. If you want a quiet one the predator 9k inverter will run everything in a goodsize house and if you a want it to start a hvac either put a soft start in the ac or you could buy a second 9k inverter and parallel them. I have a few friends with generacs in their homes here in Florida there nice but expensive. Almost everyone I know owns a regular generator and most have never needed it for hurricanes here. But those of us that have needed them have all been fine running gens from 7500-10k for a few days up to a week. Inverter types are expensive and most use the little ones for camping or if their concerned over the noise in a neighborhood

Right. And what university gave you a degree in political history? The "flip" is generally acknowledged among scholars. Real scholars anyway. There was no "sudden jump up". The transition started during Kennedy/Johnson administration and more or less completed during Carter administration. Do your homework.
Sir that’s not completely accurate. Voting record in the southern states show a slow and steady trend of switching to republican going back to Hoovers time in the 20’s. The democrat party was definitely still dominate but the trend was consistently moving towards republican.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
