Almost all news sources are biased, but it seems the left will never admit this.

My personal belief is that it's not what a news network tells you, it's what they DON'T tell you that matters. Each side will present the news in a way that supports their favored political party. We all know it, and need to be truthful about it.

I occasionally watch or listen to leftist radio shows, evening news, and print media. This is not for balance as most would like to think, but so I can see for myself the outright lies and brainwashing being conducted by the left.

Absolutely ridiculous. But I am sure the government, the prosecution, and the woke Australian left are wallowing in their collective virtue.

Awarded the Victoria Cross.

I find it amazing that the police admit they have no actual evidence.. all of this is stemming from the statements given by 3 Afghans and nothing more..

I find it even more amazing that an Australian AH member seems to think this is a good thing...

Good luck when the Oz police take a statement from one of your neighbors saying they saw you beat your wife.. the police find no evidence that you ever did... but then decide to prosecute you anyway..

Thats a result of the average European country being about the same size and population as many US states..

Get a typical Frenchman to name 5 of the 18 provencial governors in France...Most wont be able to do it.. Good luck getting him to name any of the 50 Spanish provencial governors next door..

Your typical American will know the names of a handful of state governors though...

A guy in Oklahoma will be fairly well aware of whats going on in Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, etc.. and will at least be marginally aware of things happening in Seattle, Miami, and New York (theres almost 1500 miles between NYC and OKC.. which is roughly the same distance from Madrid to Warsaw)..

Then you have the impact factor..

The truth is.. the impact of something like the Straits of Hormuz Europe is significantly greater than the impact on the US.. the impact of Middle East mass migration is significantly greater to Europe than it is the US.. the impact of Chinas growing economy is greater on Europe than it is on the US.... So natually they are paying more attention..

The typical American doesnt feel much immediate impact even on matters where the US is directly involved... the guy working at the local jiffy lube or home depot didnt notice anything changing at all when we snatched Maduro in the middle of the night... but the impact on the global economy and global oil trade was pretty significant for others..

The problem is "european awareness" is dominated by their liberal politicians and their liberal media sources.. so.. they get 1/2 the story.. and tend to believe it.. their awareness is limited and biased.. and while they will wail and moan about the problems and impact on europe by things like mass middle eastern migration, NATO not being able to sustain a Russian attack without the US answering the call on Article 5, the straits of hormuz being locked up, etc.. they dont appear to be willing (or perhaps able) to anaylze ALL of the actual facts (largely I would guess because they arent getting them easily from the media and their politicians and would have to actually work to get them) and come to non liberal biased conclusions..
That's a good point but I'll disagree with the average American knowing what's going on in other states. Most Americans can't name their own Member of Congress and very few can name a Governor of another state.

youve got to get out of Virginia lol..

Texans can not only tell you who the governor of Oklahoma is.. they can tell you the name of their college football coaches, their star players, and can name their mascots..

Not because of any affinity for Oklahoma..

Its largely because of how much they hate them lol...

I was literally staggered by when one of our Australian members posted this righteous boast.

"At least we hold people accountable for yet to be proven crimes"

Truly Orwellian.

I reluctantly have to admit... Tulsa has the best gun show on the planet... :)

(we're actually considering property in NE OK as a retirement location.. so the OK hate doesnt go too terribly deep in this household lol)..

Better yet..... Imagine you have immigrant neighbors that lie and say you are racist and making slurs of hate speech against them.

The Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (specifically Section 18C) makes it unlawful to offend, insult, humiliate, or intimidate based on race, color, or national/ethnic origin; Inciting violence or hatred against groups can lead to criminal charges, with penalties including up to 5–7 years in prison.

You could literally be sent to prison for 7 years because your neighbor claims you made an insulting remark....... Your word vs. theirs with no proof what so ever!

Beautiful area up there. Mccurtain county is pretty too. Touristy though

I would recommend my area but the cross timbers are ugly lol

No, but it does say something about Ukrainian ability to deal with those air defenses. Were that the US Air Force or Navy tasked with taking down that bridge how long do you believe it would be left standing?
Red leg, somehow I knew you will take a bait.;)
Now, let me try to answer your question.

Russia is building defenses specific to what Nato, or USA can throw at them.
We agree on that, do we?

So, what do we know now for fact?

The facts:

Clear example of those US capabilities is first strike on Iran, on their nuclear facilities.
Two deep penetration 30k pound bombs, developed by Darpa during 15 years for specific location, hitting exact hole. A pair of bombs per hole. Exactly as per plan.

Stealth bombers flew half a globe, refueling in the air, timing, precision executed, air tankers, and jet fighters for support, tomahawks launched from sea assets for additional targets, flawless and coordinated.

Without exaggeration, I was truly impressed.
General Caine had fantastic presentation, worth watching, I will provide the link below.

But with Russian, in reality, with those Russians we will never know, until tested for real.

The last time it was tested in real life is when they brought down U2 plane with pilot Gary Powers. Which was very unexpected at the time.

Since then, technology advanced.
On both sides.

Non military programs:
Although not for military purposes (I think), after space shuttle program ended US had no means to send astronauts to space, so they launched to ISS with Russian Soyuz rocket.
Atlas 5 is built on Russian engine, used to launch satellites.
So Russian and American cooperation has shown successes, and it also indicates Russia has some technology and rocket science. Shall we agree on that, too?

Now, how do I know about specifics of Iran bombing? Very simple, as will be seen below.
USA has much better PR then Russia has.
But having piss poor PR doesnt mean they do not develop capabilities.

To answer you question:
I sincerely hope, we will never know who can bomb, deter and defend better.
More so because US national security strategy 2025 requires stable relations with Russia in the future.

Lets keep it that way. ;)

I grew up in Texas, my family and many friends are still there. They can certainly name the OU football coach but I'm better less than half of them can name the Governor of Oklahoma and even fewer the Governor of New Mexico.

They can all name Gavin Newsome of course but no way they know who the Governor of Rhode Island is.

I’d prefer if they just stopped all the garbage opinion pieces and purposeful negative chicken little (the sky is falling!) reporting and just gave the world the truth

About a month ago, was driving and switch between CNN, FoxNews, and MSNBC...all were reporting different issues but each issue was the essentially the world was ending due to "insert issue here" and it was "insert opposite political party" fault.

The other thing I find weird is for example when Kayne said something the right agreed with or when MTG said something the left agreed with, the right or left will tout that "as see even your side is saying this". Totally discounting the fact that person is still the crazy person they were yesterday.

I thought russian air defences allready proved their worth, or rather lack thereof in Syria, Ukraine and Russia proper?

As to their offensive capabilities when airforce, missiles and drones are considered, they seem to be an easy match for the MIM-104 Patriot with pac-3 interceptors or MBDA Aster for that matter? I guess pac-2 probably can handle everything except their ballistic missiles.

Blond Texas cheerleader to anyone who’d listen……

“I can name the capitol of every state”

“Oh yeah? What’s the capitol of California?”

“C”

“ And what’s the capitol of Ohio?”

“O”

It will be interesting to see what happens with CNN over the next 12 months..

The new owner is not only politically hard right, but he and his father are also fairly staunch Trump supporters…

I’d prefer if they just stopped all the garbage opinion pieces and purposeful negative chicken little (the sky is falling!) reporting and just gave the world the truth…

But I have a feeling that as soon as the deal is inked and ownership officially changes hands that there is going to be a house cleaning globally and it may well start to try yo compete with Fox for the right wing audience..
Well said... the drama manufacturing is at peak level.

Just watch this teary eyed twat explain the "existential crisis" of the week.......

CNN is at least seems to be trying to tell the truth

Exactly one. Most of Fox's evening programing in relentlessly right leaning, even Trump fawning editorialism. However, Bret Baer hosts the evening news program. While it leans right of center, I find it far and away the most thorough pure news option in this country. It is one reason virtually every European Prime Minister accepts an interview on that program when visiting the White House.

That said, there are no unbiased sources of information. None. I subscribe to the on line NY Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and NY Post along with a number of purely political news sites. Somewhere in the middle of all that is something approaching truth.

Agreed. And on weekends I would add Fox News Sunday to what Bret Baier offers; I think Shannon Bream is in the same category.

Projection much? I seem to recall the “screaming harpies” on the right always complaining about anything Joe Biden and Obama did……
Projection? Quite to the contrary. The fruitloop left spilled more ink whinning about Donald Trump's hair than the right ever did about Joe Biden.
right-wingers watching Faux news during Biden…war bad!!! Biden bad!!! Trump is the peace president…kamala will send your sons to die in a war!
Faux News, oh isn't that clever. Proof positive all the Leftist catch words and phrases are conveniently issued to the little people who can't think for themselves.
…Right-wingers now….War good! Trump good! 15 dead Americans are acceptable loses…short term pain, long term gain, people need to sacrifice like we did during WWII.
Trump said no forever wars, and unfortunately your "Drive By" media tells you "See, See, the right is now anti-war".

If the members of this forum are any indication, many on the right have not only served, but did so in a Combat Arms M.O.S., and aren't shy about backing military action when it's needed.

Republicans with the exception of the "Woke Right" tend to be fairly pro war.
Where was that mentality during Bidens admin buddy.
Here's your real problem. You believe what your fruitloop news TELLS you to believe about the political right, not what we actually think or say.
Whats the next Faux news download going to be?
Ahh the Brainwashed Buzzword appears for the second time in one post. You must really like that one.

Oh well, small mind = small vocabulary.
